(2) Sarah hasnt been to Nashville yet, but it is her dream to go there one day. She has already read a lot about the place and done some research on it.2. Ability Aims (1) To learn how a country music song changed Sarahs life.(2) Can summarize the main ideas of the text by making notes or underlining the topic sentences.3. Play a short video Country road take me home. 通过听歌曲辨别歌手的游戏形式引出本文主旨,再通过乡村音乐视频引出这节课的主题。Step2. Introduce key words and expressions1.Show some pictures of the new words. 2.Students read after me.用图片学单词更加形象和直观。为接下来的阅读内容做好准备。Step3. About Country musicShow some pictures of the Country Music and some famous singers. 通过介绍乡村音乐起源和发展,扩大学生的文化视野。While-readingStep4. Fast-reading1.Read the passage quickly and match the main idea with each paragraph.2. Ask them to look through the whole passage and fill in Country Music Fact Sheet on(P63). They will have 3 minutes to do this. Then invite a student to give the answer. 在学生读之前就渗透阅读策略。快速阅读,抓住各段大意。快速阅读可以训练学生阅读速度以及抓住文章主要内容的能力。Step5.Intensive reading1.Let students read the first paragraph carefully and answer the question:Who is Sarah?2.Read the first again and tell sarahs change3.Ask students to read the second paragraph in detail and find the answer of the question:What is country music? 4.Compare their differencescountry music&many songs these days5. Ask students to read the third paragraph carefully and finish the structures. Sarahs Dreams6.Enjoy the beauty of NASHVILLE and enjoy a piece of country music from Gaths Brooks 通过任务型教学法,对全文内容进行分段细读。 仔细阅读为了训练学生阅读过程中寻找特定信息的能力和起到深入了解文章内容的作用。在学生读之前渗透阅读策略:快速阅读,抓住关键词。运用关键词浏览文章,会帮我们快速的找到答案。阅读过程中插入视频的观看,齐读部分内容等方法,使学生更好地理解和掌握。另外,题型的变换不会让学生感到倦怠。Post-readingStep6.Retelling1. I will retell the main content of the passage according to the Answers of each paragraph2.Give them 3 minutes to prepare the retelling, then invite some of them to show their retelling.用自己的话来复述整篇文章的大致内容是对学生能力更高一层次的要求,能检验学生是否掌握文章的主要内容,同时训练了学生开口说的能力和用英语概括总结的能力。Step7The power of music1. Thinking:Whats the purpose of writing this passage?2. Show some short videos about what humans will be while listening to music .3.Enjoy music&Enjoy life让英语课堂给学生带来快乐,让课堂的快乐给学生带来学习英语的幸福,让点滴的幸福来升华我们的英语课堂-享受音乐,享受生活。Step8 Homework(Writing)1.Retell the article according to the main points they ve underlined in the passage.2.Write a short summary of the article by using the information on Learning Plan. 鼓励学生把所学内容运用到日常生活中来。 作业部分
