Moral aim让学生学会友好、客观地描述人的形象, 不要以貌取人。体验学习英语的乐趣。Teaching key and difficult points1. Teaching key points 掌握单词,熟练掌握描述人的形象的句型。2. Teaching difficult points 掌握描述人的形象的句型,学会客观描述人的外貌。Teaching tools PPT and blackboardTeaching proceduresStep. Warming-up 找三名外貌差异较大的学生上讲台,一个胖而高大的男生(a heavy and tall boy),一个瘦而较矮的男生(a thin and short boy),一个中等身材(of medium height)。Purpose:引起学生的学习兴趣,了解人物的外貌特征,通过对比培养学生的情感和态度:不要以貌取人(Dont judge by appearance)。然后用这三名学生为例,学习heavy, tall, of medium build, thin, short of medium height, 并引出句型:1. What does he look like? Hes tall and heavy. 2. What does he look like? Hes of medium build. He has long straight hair.读单词和句子。Step. Presentation 1a1. Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a)Now please look at 1a. Use the letters to match the people in the picture with the words. Write each letter next to a numbered word. You can use some letters more than once. Point out the sample answer. 留2-3分钟读写1a中的单词、短语。2. 引导学生熟悉有关描述人的外貌特征的词(1). 用漫画人物图片教有关height, tall, build等单词,然后操练“What does he look like? He is tall.” 注意be 动词的用法。(2). 用明星图片教有关curly, straight等单词,然后操练“What does she look like? She has long curly hair.” 注意has的用法。(3). 总结外貌描述词汇Purpose:用图片提高学生的兴趣,增加学习的乐趣。Step. Listening 1b(1) 第一遍,听大意。(2) 听第二遍,填空,然后找到Amy friend.(3) Check the answers.Step. Pairwork 1c 1. Read the conversation and recite it. 2. Practice like the conversation according to some pictures.Step. Play a guess game请一个学生上讲台描述一位同学或老师,其他学生分为两大组来猜所描述的是谁,猜得又快又准的组获胜并奖励小奖品.Purpose: 用游戏活跃课堂气氛,奖品又能提高学生的主动性,分组能加强学生的凝聚力Step. Listening 2a & 2b 1. Listen and answer the questions. (2a)2. Find the thief in the picture He is of medium height and fat. He has little hair and always wears glasses.2. Find the hit-run (肇事)driver in the picture She is of medium build and has two big eyes. She is also tall and has curly hair. She never wears glasses.Step. A task Students help Mr. Green find his lost daughter. Try to describe his daughter using the key expressions.Step. Summary What do we learn? A. How to praise(赞美) other people. B. How to describe(描述) peoples looks. C. How to become more beautiful.Homework1. 总结描述人物外貌的词汇并背诵。2编写两个对话描述家庭成员.
