教学设计 Unit 9 What does he look like?一教材： 人教版新目标英语七年级（下）二课型：读、写、练三学情分析：学生对这个话题有了一定的知识储备，而且对人物的外貌有一定的认知，平时学生也对这个话题感兴趣。比如身高、长相、胖瘦等。一定是非常活跃的一堂课。三教材分析：本课的重点是描述外貌，重点句型是what does he look like?通过对本单元的教学，学生能掌握本单元的重要生词、句型和相关词组。比如he is of medium height .she is a beautiful girl with long black hair .etc.而且学生在谈这个话题时必定非常活跃。学生在讲练时可以谈自己喜欢的人，老师，家长，同学，名人等。因而本单元有利于学生之间，开口讲英语，为学生开口讲英语创造了一个很好的机会。还可以促进师生之间关系的融洽。四教学目标1.知识与技能重点的生词和词组和句型 hair ,height ,team ,joke beard ,look ,glasses,singer,build short ,tall,thin,heavy,blonde,brown,huge,fat ete.Look like ,medium build/height,curly/straight hair,a bit,a little, what does he look like?/he is tall,/what do they look like?etc.通过做guess who he/she is 在班级内进行英语表达和讲练。通过对名人和班级老师进行描述性表达拉近同学与老师的距离。2.过程与方法通过描述老师和同学互相之间交流思想。通过小组合作学习训练，培养团队精神。通过对外国人的描述了解西方文化。3.情感、态度与价值观学会尊重别人，在对别人进行外貌描述时能避开别人的短处，提高审美意识，学会友好的赞美别人。五教学重点与难点重点是相关的词组和句型，用 have/has 表达和用be表达别人的外貌。比如，he has long hair ,and he is of medium .还有比较复杂的表达，比如，he is a tall boy with long hair.这也是本单元的难点。教学设备：多媒体教学过程stepsobjectsTeachers activitiesStudents activitiesmethodsStep1.reviewStudents go through new words and phrases in this unit.Show persons of different builds and heights on the screen Pictures shown on the screen .Step 2.Present to arouse students interest to know about words relted to personsappearance Small build Medium buildBig build etc.(show these words on the screen)Students ask andanswer :what does he look like? /he is of small build /height etc.Show famous persons such as yaoming.pangchang jiang and classmates in the class.Step 3Listening practice Listen to the tape ,finish item 2b Check the answers Listen to the tape and answer the questionsListening practiceStep 4Team workDescribe persons in teamGive help when the students are in troubleIn pairs ,students practice how to describe a personDevide the students into groups Step 5 guess gamesUse words learnt in the unit to describe a personGive help Describe a person he may be a famous person or the teachers in the class .the others guess who he/she
