To write about traditional life.l Ability objectiveTo write about traditional life.l Moral objectiveTo get the student to know about the different tradition life in different countries.教学重难点教学重点:How to use must, mustnt, can and cant.教学难点:To understand the article in detail.课前准备A tape recorder, multimedia and some pictures.教学过程Step1 Look at the pictures and talk about what you can see.1. Look at the pictures and talk about them in pairs.2. Elicit a few of their ideas and write them on the board.3. Encourage them to guess what is happening in the picture.【设计意图】本活动通过让学生谈论有关英国习俗的图片激活他们的相关背景知识,为开展后面的阅读与写作活动作好铺垫。Step2 Read and say.Read My experience in England. Which sentences describe what you can see in the pictures in Activities 1?1. Write some pre-reading questions on the board to set the scene of the passage, find out what the Ss may already know about the customs in England and help them understand the passage better.2. Tell them to read the passage for the answers and then find the sentences which describe the two pictures in Activity1.3. Ask them to talk and discuss in pairs.【设计意图】本活动的目的是培养学生的略读技巧,寻找相关信息。Step3 Choose the correct answers.1. Let the Ss read the passage carefully 2. Check the answers according to the passage.3. Elicit answers in full sentences from the whole class.【设计意图】本活动为细节理解题,考查学生把握细节信息的能力。Step4 Write answers to the questions. Use the words and expressions from the box.1) What did Wang Hui notice when he was in England?2) What is one example of the English way of life?3)What do you eat for afternoon tea?4) How can you eat fish and chips?5) What do people do when they wait for the bus?1. Get the Ss to read the questions through and make sure they understand them.2. Read the words and expressions in the box and get the Ss to practise them chorally and individually.3. Elicit answers from the whole class.【设计意图】本活动给出了本单元课文中出现的重点单词和表达方式,要求学生用这些单词和表达回答问题,旨在加强学生的阅读理解和表达能力。Step5 Answer the questions about way of life in your home town.1. What do you eat during the Spring Festival?Step6 Writing.Write a passage about ways of life in your home town.
