Unit 4 Dont eat in class.Section A (1a-2d)一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:1) 能掌握以下单词:rules, arrive, late, dinning hall, listen, listen to, fight, sorry 2) 能掌握以下句型: Dont eat in class. You must be on time. Eat in the dining hall. 2. 学会用英语表达一些标志的含义。3. 熟练使用目标语言谈论对某些规章制度(校规、家规等)的看法3. 情感态度价值观目标:能用英语表达和制定一些简单的规则,理解没有规矩不成方圆;无论是在学校时还是在家庭中以及以后走上社会都应当遵守规则,按规则办事。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 掌握肯定祈使句是省略掉主语的原形动词开头;否定祈使句则是在肯定祈使句前加上“dont”。2) 知道情态动词must及have to在用法上的区别。2. 教学难点:掌握祈使句的用法,并能听懂、会说一些简单的祈使句。三、教学过程Step 1. Warming-up and revision T:(Pointing at the picture)You met your new classmate at the school gate this morning. You may begin a conversation like this:What time do you go to school?How do you get to school?How long does it take?How far is it from to ?S: practice in pairs.Aims: Lead into the lesson and get ready for the next step.Step 2. PresentationT:(Show the students some pictures) When we are at school, we should follow school rules. We cant and help the students review the phrases they have learned before, then learn the new words or phrases: fight, hallways, dining hall.S: Say them out with the help of the teacher and review the phrases.T: Lets make school rules for our school.S: According to the given model, practice “Dont do sth.” with the words and phrases above.T: We must follow the rules. We mustnt break them. Aims: Learn the words and phrases with the imperative sentences.Step 3. 1a-1b T: Now, Look at the picture on your textbook. Each of the students is breaking one of these rules. Which rules are they breaking? S: Write the number of the rule next to the student and finish 1a.T: Now lets listen! What rules are these students breaking? Write the numbers after names? S: Finish 1b, and then follow the tape.Aims: Go over the imperative sentences.Step 4 2a-2bT: What can/cant we do at Hua Shan Middle school? -Can we eat in the dining hall? S: - (look at the pictures) Yes, we can./No, we cant.Aims: Go over the phrases and get ready for the listening.T: Alan and Cindy are talking about their school rules. S: Listen and check the activities, finish 2a.T:Listen again. Can Alan and Cindy do these activities?S:Circle can or cant above and finish 2b. After that, say the sentences out. “They cant , but they can .”Aims: Learn the use of “can/cant” and review the phrases above.Step 5. Pair work T: At school, can we ? Make a model with one of the students like this: T:-Hi, my names . Its my first day at school. In our school, can we?S1:-No, we cant. We cant , but we can .S: practice the conversation.Aims: practice the school rules.Step 6. Extensive readingT: Lets read some more rules. Please read the following passages and finish the tasks below.S: Read and finish the tasks.Aims: Enlarge the vocabulary of the rules and get ready for the integrated skills.Step 7. Integrated speakingT: Look at the library rules. Lets make a conversation like this.A: Welcome to our class.B: Thank you. I want to borrow some books.
