Web browsers use TCP when they connect to servers on the World Wide Web, and it is used to deliver email and transfer files from one location to another. 7Internet protocol suite (1) HTTP: The Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is an application protocol for distributed, collaborative, hypermedia information systems. HTTP is the foundation of data communication for the World Wide Web.(2) SMTP: Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is an Internet standard for e-mail transmission across IP networks. And is the protocol in widespread use today. It is an Application Layer protocol in the OSI reference model.(3) Telnet: Telnet is a network protocol used on the Internet or local area networks to provide a bidirectional interactive text-oriented communication facility using a virtual terminal connection.
