All these problems are fairly common to teenagers nowadays. Students are required to participate fully in the discussion. They can relate their own experiences and express their opinions freely. Why do you quarrel?2.Encourage students to give example of kinds of problems they sometimes have with their parents.Activate the students imagination.Step 3Discussion1.Group workT: Just now we studied the four pictures about family problems.Ask students to discuss with group members about the following questions: What activities do your parents like you do while you hate?What kind of thing do you like to do while your parents hate?What kind of behaviour of yours will make your parents feel unhappy? List as many as you can.2.Further discussionAsk students to discuss the following questions in groups of four. After discussion, get each group to report their conclusions to the whole class.Do you think there is a generation gap between you and your parents?How do you overcome the gap?After discussion, let students exchange their opinions with other groups. Teacher can offer some answers to students for reference.
