I am SamWe all deserve a happy end经济学院 高雯丽 201427020110Since I had watched the filmI am Samin class,I cant help seeing it again.All tears but I just remember little Lucys sweet voicedaddy,daddy.and her mentally retarded father Sams love to her.Its really a touching movie.The protagonist,Sam,a father who has the IQ of a 7-year-old,lost his little daughter Lucy because people from Department of Child and Family Services consider he doesnt have the ability to raise her.Sam wants take Lucy back cause he loves her so much. This movie shows love have nothing to do with IQ.Sam is mentally retarded,but he loves his daughter,that is all enough.However,even every device of the movies art is designed to convince us Lucy must stay with Sam, but common sense makes it impossible to go the distance with the premise. You cant have heroes and villains when the wrong side is making the best sense.Maybe the movie give us the most appropriate end.Sam and the Foster families could take care of Lucy together which make everybody get love.Just as Sam always said:Thats a wonderful choice.You know you need much more than your daddy can give you.All I need is love.This is the part which touched me most.When they took little Lucy away from her father they told her that,but her answer shocked me.Shes just a little girl of seven years old.but she shows a sense of maturity than other child.Daddy, did God mean for you to be like this, or was it an accident? Thats little Lucy asking her father why he isnt quite like other people. Shes a bright kid and figures out the answer herself.Rita,a big-time lawyer who only seems to care only about her own success and wants nothing to do with Sams case.Yet Ritas own personal life is mess.She has a child who cant stand her,a marriage that is falling apart and her workmates think she is a selfish witch.Finally,she finds redemption in her own life through helping Sam,something she thought she had already lost,love and happy.How can we be so different and feel so much alike?Because all of us have love and love is all we need.However,some people are so busy dong jobs or following others steps that forget the most important thing in their life,so God picks special people to show us that each person has love and we all deserve a happy end.
