PROVISIONING GUIDED EXERCISEProvisioning Guided ExerciseProvisioning is the key customer instance configuration tool that SuccessFactors and Services use to control many aspects of the end user experience. The customer never uses this tool nor do they have access to it. Services use this tool to turn on or off purchased modules, create administrator accounts, upload templates, and much more. In essence, Provisioning is the back-end and the customer-facing instance is the front end of the system.During this course, we will be using Provisioning primarily as a troubleshooting tool. Our interaction with this tool will be limited, but it might be necessary at certain points of the course.In this exercise, you will access your assigned Provisioning site for your ACEtrain instance and make a few basic configurations to your ACEtrain instance.This document provides a detailed walkthrough of Provisioning. Use this document, which includes detailed screenshots, to guide you along.You can go through the steps as many times as you need in order to become familiar with Provisioning. This exercise ensures that you can access the site and login with the credentials provided.ObjectivesAt the end of this exercise, you will be able to:4 Log in to Provisioning 4 Make a few basic configurations to your ACEtrain instance4 Enable the Revolution framework and OneAdmin4 Create a backup admin accountLog In to ProvisioningIn order to access your Provisioning site, you must know your ACEtrain instance number that has been assigned to you by your instructor. If you do not know your instance number, please reach out to your instructor.To log in to Provisioning:1 Access the Sales4demo Provisioning site in one of two ways:A. Using the URL /provisioning_loginB. Selecting Provisioning under the Tech tab of the SuccessFactors toolbar.2 Your Username =SZHANG3 Your password is shangping678 (all lower case).4 Select your instance from the company list. You should only see one.Changing Basic Company SettingsNow its time to do some basic configurations. All training instances are built off of the same training image. This image is a snapshot in time and we need to modify the configurations to use some of the newer options.1 Verify you are logged in to Provisioning.2 Click the company name link to see a list of setting options.3 Under the Edit Company Settings section, click Company Settings to see the available setting options.4 In the top section make sure the following are enabled: l Performance Appraisal Smart Forml Writing Assistantl Admin Configuration Tooll Workflowl Competency Library Management Suitel Legal Scanl Spell Checkl Live Profile 5 We will not be using language packs in this training, but verify Language Packs is checked and the English US language is selected.Enabling the V12 Revolution Framework and OneAdmin Revolution is the new user interface for the application. Some current customers may not currently be using this new interface. To enable the Revolution interface and OneAdmin:1 Locate the Version 12 UI framework (Revolution) option and check the checkbox to enable the Revolution framework. 2 Turn on the V12 Employee Profile and enable Public Profile.Note: To quickly locate these options, use your browsers search function to search for the term Revolution.3 The default image that was used to create your training instance does not use the new OneAdmin interface. This is the new Administrator Tools interface that is included with V12. To turn this on, check the Admin 2.0 (OneAdmin) checkbox.4 Scroll to the top of the page and click Save Feature to save your changes.Create a Backup Admin AccountBackup administrator accounts are useful if your regular admin account should get locked out.
