Once the application has been submitted, you will not be able to modify supporting documents, so please proofread your materials thoroughly before submission. Include payment of the application fee or submit a fee waiver request. Upload a Statement of Purpose. Request GRE, TOEFL, and/or IELTS test scores to be sent directly to the California Institute of Technology (Institutional Code 4034). Upload an official electronic copy of your transcripts or online grade reports issued by your college or university. Updated grade reports for terms in progress are not required. Students who have been admitted and plan to attend Caltech will be required to submit an official copy of all transcripts from the Registrars Office prior to enrollment. The official scores will be used to verify the self-reported scores. For applicants who have taken more than one test, the most recent scores will be displayed. Note: We usually aept scores from tests taken within the last five years. However, ETS will only officially report scores from tests taken within the last two years. For tests taken more than two years ago, applicants must send official copies of score reports as we do not aept self-reported scores as the sole submission for older test dates. These include: ? STATEMENT OF PURPOSE Provide a brief statement of your scientific and professional interests and objectives. Include a description of your past aomplishments that are not evident from the examination of other documents submitted. Report, if applicable, on any research in progress. The statement must be written by the applicant in English. It must not be written in another language and translated for the applicant by another person. ?
