Teaching difficult points: The new sentences are difficult for students to learn. Teachers should pay more attention to them.IV. Teaching aids: Tape recorder, word cards, slide, real things, Gogo VCD. V. Teaching procedure: Step 1 Students daily report Let some students ask the other students questions. Step 2 Teach the word of “ happy ” Show a happy face to let the students guess the meaning. Step 3 Teach the word of “ sad ” Show an unhappy face to let the students guess the meaning. Step 4 Teach the word of “ heavy ” Show the action of carrying a heavy thing and difficult to move, let them guess the meaning. Step 5 Teach the word of “ light ” and “hot, cold” Show the action of carrying a light thing and easy to move, let them guess the meaning. Also use action to teach the word hot, cold. Step 6 Teach the word of “ big ”and “ small” Show out two things to compare the things. Step 7 Play the word games Slap game, listen and clap hands, etc. Step 8 Teach conversation Smile and look happy. T: Im happy. Repeat. Ss: Im happy. Look sad. T: Im sad. Repeat. Ss: Im sad. Crouch down so you are barely visible to the Ss. As you ask the class questions, continue making clear gestures. Continue with various Ss until youve introduced the new words to Ss. Listen to the tape one time and ask Ss comprehension questions such as Who is small? Who is sad? Then listen again. Have Ss follow along.
