While the sub-topic of this unit is “Where Are They From?”.This Lesson is the fourth period of the module, The dialogue focus of it is “ Where ( are you ) from?” “Is ( she / he ) from?” “Im from”. Its not difficult for the pupils to ask and answer, but some vocabulary such as the nationalities are not easy for the pupils to pronounce correctly and remember well. After learning this unit pupils are expected to understand the text and can use the sentences to talk about the nationalities.教学目标1.认知目标:A-“四会”掌握下列单词。(Britain. British. Both.) B-“三会”掌握下列单词。( Japan. Japanese. ) C-To introduce vocabulary of nationalities and countries. D-To use the sentence “ Where ( are you ) from?” “Is ( she / he ) from?” “Im from”. to talk about the nationalities.2.思想情感目标-能过认识众多国家单词,引发学生作为一名中国人的自豪感。3.智力发展目标-To develop listening, reading and speaking skills 教学设备New words card. Tape. Students Book. Flag. Toy.教学过程1.Warming up To sing a song “ The More We Get Together” to warm up.2.Leading inFree talk between the teacher an the pupils.T: Today is Keiko wedding party. There are so many people here. Look . Whos the beautiful lady?S: Shes Keiko. Shes very beautiful .3.Pre-task1)Play a guessing game.Pupils learn the new words and expressions by playing a guessing game. At the beginning teacher must make a model how to play this guessing game. While the teacher make a model , the pupils learn the new sentences structure “ Where ( are you ) from?” “Is ( she / he ) from?” “Im from”. Then when the pupils play this guessing games pupils will study the new words or phrases of this lesson.Model:T: Where are you from? Let me guess. Are you from China ( Japan. Germany)?(Use the flag on their hand. Teacher can ask one or two group let the pupils understand how to ask and how to answer.The teacher write down the importance sentences on the blackboard.)S: No / Yes. Im from.T: Youre from. So youre .( after they understand how to ask and answer. They can guess between each group, if they guess correctly. They can get one point.)2)Use the toy to practice the vocabulary and sentences.To consolidate the vocabulary children have learned in the game. One pupil go out and point to the toy , and use the sentences to ask the other pupil.( he can ask somebody to answer his question). In this activity, pupils can practice reading the new words and sentences in a meaningful way. 3)Learn the dialogue.According the dialogue,teacher introduce their relationships.To help the pupils to understand the dialogue. Firstly teacher will raise some questions according to the text. Secondly the pupils will listen to the tape. Thirdly, the pupils will answer the question. From this part, teacher can check whether pupils are able to understand the text or not.4)Practice reading the dialogue.4.While-task1)Perform the dialogue.Firstly the pupils listen to the tape. Secondly pupils read the dialogue after the tape. Thirdly they read the teacher. Fourthly they practice the dialogue in group.( one be Janet, one be Mrs Webb, one be Steffi)2)Do Ex.1 on P22 of the Activity Book.检查作业Some pupils to show their exercise and decide which is right.
