Elicit “swallow” by asking the colour of the bird.2. Ask the students to say a rhyme: swallow, swallow, come, come, come. swallow, swallow, swallow, go, go, go.3. Elicit “ willow” by telling the students the name of the tree.4. Ask the students to imagine the shape of willows with gesture.5. Elicit “ mountain” by asking the colour and why.6. Tell the name of the mountains the students know.7. Write up the name of the colour next to each flashcard. Get the students to repeat them in chorus and, if necessary, work on pronunciation.2. Put the new patterns on the board:What colour is/are the?Its/ Theyre3. Divide the class into two teams, A and B. Ask them to close their eyes. Get team B to ask them questions about objects in another picture, for example:” What colour is the mountain? What colour are the flowers?” Team A must try to remember , keeping their eyes shut. No peeping!4.
