On Sunday morning, with the sunshine slanting and the wind blowing swiftly, we headed for the museum in high spirits. Hardly had we arrived at the museum when we couldnt wait to expect to catch sight of what hairy monkeys looked like and how they were made. At the gate of the museum stood the receiver, giving us a warm welcome. Under the guidance of an receiver, we entered the hall where a speaker gave us a thorough introduction, making us know about the hairy monkey is a kind of folk handicraft of old Beijing and is now facing extinction. Then we appreciated some typical handicrafts which looked a lot like monkeys. Fascinated by the vividness of the hairy monkeys, we could completely experience the accomplishments of the Chinese handicraftsmen. Then came the most exciting moment when we observed a craftsman making hairy monkeys, with the craftsman briefing us the method of making them. We were engrossed in the craftsmans exquisite technique and the process of making them and even someone couldnt help taking out a camera to capture the wonderful moment with great interest. Attracted by his exquisite techniques, some of us clapped our hands wildly and gave him a thumbs-up, feeling proud of the folk art. Eventually, each of us bought a hairy monkey to memorize the experience of visiting the museum of hairy monkeys and left the museum happily.
