It landed in some trees. I tried to find it for three days. Ive been launching rockets for two years. This year, I joined a rocket club. Then I either lose or break them.Ask and answer难点Help the students learn how to write a short story using their imaginationExplain discuss教学方法Listening, reading and discussing.课前准备The multimedia computer.情境导入T: Hello, boys and girls!S: Hello!T: Here is a riddle for you. Well, listen carefully. He is the first Chinese that went into the space.S: Yang Liwei!T: Great! He is the hero of our country. Have you ever dreamed of being a spaceman as him?S: Yes! T: Wonderful! I think most of you are interested in that. So, do you still remember your homework?S: Yes!T: Tell us!Show students the following pictures of rockets to help them tell their homework.Teaching steps(教学过程设计)Step I ReviewAsk the students to talk about their ambitions.T: Yesterday we learned Danys and hobby .Now Id like to learn about your hobby . Who will be the first one?S1: I like teaching ,I want to be a teacher.T: Why do you want to be a teacher?S1: Because a teacher can help lots of students. I like to help others. I also think teaching is fun.T: Good! So you can get happiness from that. What about you, S2?S2: I want to be a pop star. A pop star can be very rich. I want to buy a good car and a large house.T: Why do you want a good car and a large house?S2: Because a good car and a large house will make me happy. I like to drive a good car. I like to live in a large house.T: But after you buy a good car, you will want a better car. After you have a large house, you will want a larger house. Then you wont be happy. Im a teacher. I dont have a good car. Im not rich. But I am very happy. Because I love teaching you. My work makes me happy. I love my family. After I get home from work, I am very happy to stay with my family, though I dont have a large house. Next, lets discuss the following questions in groups:Show the following questions in THINK AOUT IT on the PowerPoint.What makes you happy?What makes you sad?Then ask some pairs to give their answers. They may take the form of making dialogues.After that help the students to learn that money is important, but it isnt everything. Money may not buy you the true happiness. Step IIS: I will tell you Howarocketflies. Ifyouwanttoknow,getaballoonand then blow it up until it is quite big. Do not tie up the neck of the balloon. Let it go! The balloon will fly off through the air very quickly. The air inside the balloon tries to get out. It rushes out through the neck of the balloon and this pushes the balloon goes through the air. It does not need wings like an airplane. This is how a rocket works. Step III Read I1. Read and answerAsk the students to read the text carefully. Then work in groups and answer the questions on Page 74 in Activity Book 3.2. Read and underline Step III ListeningAsk the student to listen to the tape and answer the T or F questions on the slide.1. Paul likes his hobby because its exciting and difficult.2. Help them to underline the important phrases and explain them to the students.
