week.I:Why did you change?J:I started to live on my own and couldnt cook vegetarian food as well as my mother.So now,Isometimes eat fish or chicken because they are easy to cook and not British dish and because,as you know,we eat lots of potatoes,its also a very populardish in England.OK,class,Im going to tell you what you need.Minced beef,onion,garliccloves,sage,thyme,butter or vegetable oil,flour,beef stock,salt and pepper,and of course,mashedpotatoes.As and option,you may use rosemary.For the details of the recipe,a handout will bedistributed at the end of this lesson.So,please pay attention to the directions on how to prepare thedish.Firstly,melt the butter in a large frying pan and stir in the flour.Then,cook for a few minutesstirring until the mixture is smooth and blended.Next,slowly stir in the beef broth and continuecooking and stirring until the gravy has thickened,about five to eight minutes.But,if you are in ahurry,you may use a prepared gravy.OK,now,its thick enough.So,add the rest of the ingredients except the mashed potatoes and mixwell.Then put mixture into a casserole dish and spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top.OK,were
