Low-costwindpowercanprovideanewwindturbineAbstract:Thefirstgenerationofcommercialproliferationofenhancedwindturbine(DAWT)inNewZealandhasjustbeguntrialoperationtwoyears,ifthedeveloperstoachievetheexpectedresults,thisnewdesignofwindmachinestobesignificantlyreducedcostofwindpower.NewZealandinthedistanceabout100kmAokelannantheWaikaretuontopofahill,arevolutionarynewwindturbineisatwo-yeartrialoperation.Thewindmachinesandtheappearanceofconventionalwindturbinecompletelydifferentcomparedtoitsheightof17m,muchlikeaJuwusquattedonthePeak,andtheconventionalwindturbineisaslenderbody,tallandtoweringoverthetopofthehill.Thisisputintooperationthefirstgenerationofcommercialproliferationofenhancedwindturbine(DAWT:diffuseraugmentedwindturbine),ifthedeveloperstoachievetheexpectedresults,willleadtosignificantreductioninthecostofwindpower.Duringthetrialthenewwindturbinetechnology,canalsotesttheproliferationofCentralCovernewmaterials,high-strengthfiberstostrengthenthesteelreinforcedconcrete.Suchwindturbineonthegroundreferredtoasconcretewindturbine.Inbusiness,itiscalledVortec7ofwindmachines,becauseithasa7mindiameterrotor.Windmachinesfromnearly100smallinvestors,setupaprivatecompany-VortecEnergyLimitedresponsibleforthedesignandconstruction,thecompanyraised3.5millionU.S.dollarsdevelopmentoftheprototype.VortecEnergyLimitediscurrentlybeingfurtherraiseabout700milliondollarstobuildtwosetsofrotordiameterof20moftheunit.Oneofthenewunitswillbeinareasofhighwindspeedtest,probablyinthevicinityofWellington,NewZealand,theaveragewindspeedinanotherarea.SouthAustraliastategovernmentsaidthatthedesignhasalotofinterestinAdelaideandwillspeeduptheinstallationofanaveragewindspeednearthecrew,becausethestategovernmentthatisararewindofrenewableenergy,theneedtopromotetechnicalbreakthroughs-stateadvantageofthemoreLoweraveragewindspeedresourcedevelopment.Twonewtypeofrotordiameterof20moftheunitafterthesuccessfuloperation,VortecEnergyLimitedwillconsiderthepossibilityofNasdaqStockExchange.Vortec7unitperformancedatashowthattherotordiameterof20mbelowthedesignto0.031U.S.dollars/kWhthepriceofInternetaccess,itwillenableNewZealandandwindpowercancompeteexistingpowerplants,andothernewmethodsofpowergenerationcomparedtomoreCompetitive.IfVortecfunctionofwindpowergenerationinthispricelevel,inthedevelopmentofwindpowerwillrapidlybecomeapowerfulnewforce.VortecEnergyLimitedisthebackingofentrepreneursRobinJohannink,hesuccessfullyoperatingaseriesofoperations,butalsoPacificLithium(anextractfromseawaterlithiumcompanies)backing.Johannink,saidVortectechnologyisaninternationalproduct,butthetechnologyintheNewZealandstockmarketwasontherecognitionandattentionisnottoohigh,inthisdifficultmarket.ThereforeVortecEnergyLimitedisconsideringtheNasdaqinNewYorkStockExchangelistingislikelytoachievein1999.AproliferationoftechnologyU.S.aerospacegiantGrummanSpaceCompany(nowNorthropGrummanCorporation)spenteightyearsdevelopingtheproliferationoftechnologyandaproliferationofenhancedwindturbinetechnologypatents.Itwasthespreadofadetailedanalysisoffluiddynamicsandtheuseofa5minthewindtunnelmodelconfirmedtheresults.Theproliferationofwindturbinerotorinthelowerreaches,anditsroleasawing,therearrotorinalow-voltageparts.Thissuctioneffecteffectiveinaroundtherotorspeedmultiplied.Conventionalwindturbinerotorcanonlybeeffectiveuseofwindaround60percent.showapatternofproliferation.Theproliferationofeconomyisthekeytothelowestcosttomaximizethesize.Windtunnelstudiesshowthatin45-degree-proliferationstructure,thewallofsurfacewindflowmaybetwoslotmaintainedbythejet.Intheprototype,thetotalsizeofthespreadoffurtherreduction,throughtheuseofgeneralandexportsindiameterthan30percentofthearcstructure,enhancethehardnessofCentralenclosures.Sothatthedesignhasbeenchosentoreceivetheminimumamountofmaterialthesizeofthegreatestproliferation.VortecEnergyLimitedwasawardedtheNorthropGrummanCorporationwiththeproliferationoftechnologyforaperiodof20yearsofglobalpatentsand20patentssincetherighttoupdatethepermit.NorthropGrummanCorporationtoretaintheirowninternaluseoftheproliferationoftechnologyratherthanenhancethecommercialmarketforwindrights.KennethForeman,formerGrummanSpaceresearchteamleader,VortecEnergyCorporationfortechnicaladvice,VortecEnergyLimitedaccesstotheGrummanSpaceResearchGroupeightyearsonalltherecords,testreportsandpatents.2materialstechnologyGrummanSpaceResearchGroupinthedevelopmentofproliferation-enhancingtechnologiesinthefaceofaproblemisthatcommercial-scalewindturbinematerialsmusthavehighstrengthandlonglife,lowcostfeatures.Havealuminum,glassfiber,steelandreinforcedconcreteforthetraditionalassessmentandaccounting,butthewindcannotmeettherequirementsofeconomicdevelopment.Inalltheassessmentmaterials,themostdesirableisreinforcedconcrete,buttheuseoftraditionalreinforcedconcrete,thesizeofthespreadofthewind-ratedoutputcanonlymeet70kW.Assmall-scaleunitscannotenhancethediffusionoftechnologybusinessdevelopment.NewZealandintheuseofreinforcedconcretetowersandtheconstructionofocean-goingboatssuchequipmenthasalonghistory.Onthisbasis,thestructuralengineerAl
