6、r. The kind look in his eyes and his relaxed behavior made me feel right at home.The dinner was very elaborate. Each dish had a special feature, sauce and a blend of seasonings. Marias aunt ate while standing at a corner of the small, old table. I felt a little uncomfortable, knowing that I was occu
7、pying her place, but her gesture expressed the sincere hospitality with which Marias whole family received me. After dinner, Maria chose a small package from under the Christmas tree and handed it to me. Inside I found the tie-clasp I still use to this day.Looking at the tie-clasp, I know I would al

25、his hands dropped, all power of self-defense gone. Griffith kept throwing punches. Finally the referee pulled Griffith away. Paret was taken out on a stretcher. He died a few days later without regaining consciousness.Johnny Owen was the latest of approximately 330 men who have died since 1945. If r
26、eason and humanity prevailed, he would be the last. The sport of boxing is a barbaric, anachronism that has no place in modem civilized society.
