1、Medecins Sans Frontieres听说课教学设计 Book 7 Unit 4 Listening and Speaking罗柳梅 东莞市塘厦中学教学设计说明:一 教学分析1、教学内容分析本片段教学课使用的教材为人教版教材,教学内容为选修七第四单元Using Language中的Listening and speaking(教材Book7 Unit 4 P35; 录音原文见附录2)这是一段对无国界医生莫里的采访录音,主持人Jennifer主要询问了以下几个问题:(1). Please tell me why you decided to join MSF.(2). In 1997
2、you joined MSF and went to Malawi. What did you do there?(3).In 2001 you went back to this Sudan again. Lets talk about your work there.(4).How do you think these experiences over the last few years have affected you?(5). What do you expect to be doing in the future?这部分以采访的形式介绍了莫里大夫作为无国界医生的经历。其中重点谈到
3、了她为何参与无国界医生(MSF)组织、到马拉维(Malawi)开展志愿服务工作的经历以及这些经历所给她带来的影响等。2、学生分析学生为高二理科实验班的同学。对听说课的了解程度:学生从选修七第一单元的听说课堂开始逐渐接触高考听说考试的测试题型。对模仿朗读需要注意的pronunciation(发音), pause(停顿), intonation(语调)和linking (连读)有所接触。在之前三个单元对句子内部停顿,语音语调和连读进行过相关的练习。第二部分的角色扮演学生通过之前高考真题的整体了解,大致明白测试语篇的篇章特点。如问题12常考查时间、地点、缘由、个人行为等细节性信息,其中,时间是考查的
4、热点。三问部分围绕同一话题与视频对话衔接,实际上是原对话的延续。问题35根据“三问”部分中计算机的回答进行提问。对录音内容的了解程度:学生对MSF的背景知识的了解几乎为零,只有极个别同学有听说过无国界医生,但知之甚少,更谈不上能体悟到对他们在工作中所展现出的人道主义精神。二、教学设计思路1、备课思维过程本课教学内容为选修七第四单元的听说材料,即高二下学期的教学内容。学生即将面临高三,如果说我们要在高一、高二上学期基础阶段,通过英文歌比赛、戏剧、演讲和辩论等各种形式丰富的听说活动让学生海量地接触听力材料,让学生敢说乐说,提高学生对英语听说的兴趣,促进他们的听说能力,或许在高二下学期我们应着重让学
5、生逐渐熟悉高考听说考试的试题结构,通过整合、调整或者删补模块中每个单元的练习让学生向高考听说的命题和要求过渡,为高三的学习做好充足的准备。鉴于学生对录音材料中MSF背景知识的缺乏可能会极大地影响他们对录音文本的理解,更无法从心出发真实地感受无国界医生为这个世界所作出的无私的贡献。基于此,笔者决定在学生听录音采访前通过他们熟悉的影视人物(-姜暮烟; -Rachell)引入MSF,进而借助时长一分钟的新闻短视频给学生补充MSF的背景知识,让学生整体地感知MSF,促进他们对Dr Mary Murray这个访谈的理解,同时巩固训练学生的模仿朗读技巧。最后利用学生对无国界医生生活细节的好奇心带入对Dr
6、Mary Murray的访谈。仿照高考听说考试Part B Role Play, 笔者将采访剪辑成两个部分,Part 1主要介绍了莫里大夫参加MSF的原因以及第一次出任务的时间和地点。学生听录音,回答两个问题:1.Why did Mary Murry decide to join MSF? 2. When did she join MSF and where did she go then?Part 2 为莫里大夫在Malawi和Sudan的志愿服务经历,这些经历对她的影响和她将来的计划。在听录音之前让学生根据Part 1的录音内容预测Part2 可能谈论些什么,根据提示将5个中文问题翻译成英
7、语,并带着这几个问题仔细听Part 2的采访内容,最后回答这5个问题。这一节课教学课的教学目标为:通过对MSF 和Dr Mary Murray生活的了解,明白无国界医生组织是什么,感悟他们为这个世界所作出的无私的贡献;通过对MSF短视频的学习,初步掌握模仿朗读的四个方面技巧:发音,停顿,语调和连读,掌握v/w的区分;通过听采访录音,练习对录音中的时间、地点、原因等重要细节信息做笔记以及进行合理预测的听力微技巧;通过5个句子翻译的练习,练习翻译的技巧,掌握特殊疑问句等的语调。课堂流程图如下:教学目标与步骤Teaching MaterialNew Senior English for China

22、res(MSF). They talk about Marys life. J: Good afternoon. Im Jennifer Wells and today on “Making a Difference.” Im going to talk to Dr Mary Murray who works for Medecins Sans Frontieres. Welcome Mary.M: Thank you, Jennifer.J: Now please tell me why you decided to join MSF.M: Well, while I was studyin
23、g in Sydney during the 1980s, I got to know two Sudanese students and visited them in 1990. I became good friends with their families and decided to work in a health clinic in their country in 1992 for a couple of months. There I saw children with terrible diseases that could have been prevented. Th
24、ats why I decided to work in developing countries.J: I see. So in 1997 you joined MSF and went to Malawi. What did you do there?M: Actually in Malawi I was working with children affected with HIV/AIDS. It was heart-breaking. Children died because we didnt have enough medicines.J:Oh, how sad!M: Yes,
25、but things gradually improved. Now theres treatment for HIV, which is showing very good results. J: Thats excellent news. Then, in 2001 you went back to this Sudan again.
