2、ce. Christmas is a religious festival. And that, Christmas is the feast of the nativity of Jesus, is on 25th, December every year. But nobody know the actual birthday of Jesus. And the Christmas has become popular when Christmas cards appeared in 1846 and the concept of a jolly Santa Claus was first
3、 made popular in nineteenth Century,Jesus,Celebrations,Celebrating the Birth of Jesus Putting up and decorating a Christmas Tree Decorating homes, churches, schools, workplaces, etc. Exchanging gifts, going to parties, spending money, etc. Staying at home with their families,Three Christmas Traditio
4、ns One is the Chrismas pantomime,a comical,musical play. The pantomine is usually based on a version of a traditional childrens story like Clinderella,Another is the Queens Christmas message. It is observed on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the fi

This means that the festival can occur on any Sunday between March 22 and April 25,At Easter time in the UK we have two bank holidays .Good Friday and Easter Monday. This means that many families can enjoy a long weekend together,On the Friday before Eas
9、ter, Christians commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is a day of mourning in church and special Good Friday services are held where Christians meditate on Jesus s suffering and death on the cross, and what this means for their faith. Calling it Good Friday may seem a bit bizarre, but some
10、 people think that it was once called Gods Friday or Holy Friday,Good Friday,What happened on Good Friday,Jesus was arrested and was tried, in a mock trial. He was handed over to the Roman soldiers to be beaten and flogged with whips. A crown of long, sharp thorns was thrust upon his head. Jesus was
11、 forced to carry his own cross outside the city to Skull Hill. He was so weak after the beating that a man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, was pulled from the crowd and forced to carry Jesus cross the rest of the way. Jesus was nailed to the cross. Two other criminals were crucified with him, thei

The roots of morris dancing seem to be very old, probably dating back to the Middle Ages,They dance through the streets and one man often carries an inflated pigs bladder on the end of a stick.
