Page 4 Supplier Training Changes to GP-5 Control and Rework Company A company approved by General Motors to perform controlled shipping level 2

3、 inspections or other work necessary to ensure product quality. This company performs directly under the responsibility of the supplier. Line Accumulations Line accumulations are defined as unavoidable discrepancies or single cases of commodities where only initial response is needed. These PRRs wil

4、l be issued on a monthly basis per part or part group. Definitions added to GP-5 Page 5 Supplier Training Quality Performance Reports Monthly 6 panel charts that graphically display the data contained in GQTS. Charts display the following: Major Disruptions (Spills, Downtime, Stockouts) PRRs Discrep

5、ant Parts PPM Sourcing Metrics Supplier evaluation system that ranks each supplier manufacturing location in terms of overall quality in one of three categories: green, yellow or red. The ranking criteria are based on the historical commodity performance. (Example Enhanced Metric Bid List) Changes t

6、o GP-5 Definitions added to GP-5 Page 6 Supplier Training Changes to GP-5 Packaging PRRs (section 4.2.2) Packaging PRR s are now defined as packaging issues that cause part/specification nonconformity, or effect salability of the part. Examples: Damaged part or material that was inadequately secured

7、 in the container Container was inadequately secured in the carrier vehicle and caused part/material damage Container design and/or fabrication was inadequate and caused part/material damage Container that has been damaged by improper handling and caused part/material damage Mixed pallets built inco

8、rrectly and caused part/material damage Parts not packaged to specification for service Page 7 Supplier Training Changes to GP-5 Line Accumulation PRRs (section 4.3) The Line accumulation PRR should be entered in the system only after the full impact and the monthly quantity is available to the issu

9、er. When it is appropriate for the plant, the PRR may be issued with the first occurrence of the discrepant part. Regular adjustments of the volume will then be made during the month. For awareness purposes, the issuer should indicate the possibility of adjustments when issuing the PRR. Page 8 Suppl

(Phase drop down box) Issuer must indicate on the PRR if the issue affects Direct Run Rate. (Direct Run Rate check box) Page 9 Supplier Training Changes

11、 to GP-5 Quantity Checked (section 4.3.6.2) The “1% or 30 pieces” requirement replaced by the following wording: “The quantity checked MUST be of a statistically significant size to represent the percentage defective within the batch.” Page 10 Supplier Training Changes to GP-5 Quantities for Label I

12、ssues (section 4.3.6.4) For parts shipped in bulk such as fasteners, labels, etc. (that are received in large quantities at manufacturing locations) mislabel problems will be counted using the following escalation process. First labeling offense (at a particular Duns location, in last 15 months) Iss

13、uer counts only one quantity discrepant against the supplier (Quantity nonconforming and estimated quantity nonconforming = 1) Second offense (at a particular Duns location, in last 15 months) Issuer counts only one quantity discrepant against the supplier (Quantity nonconforming and estimated quant

14、ity nonconforming = 1) The supplier will also be placed on Controlled Shipping Level 1. Third offense (at a particular Duns location, in last 15 months) Issuer counts all parts against the supplier. The supplier will also be placed on Controlled Shipping Level 2. 15、 GP-5 Quantities for Label Issues (example - section 8.4) A PRR is written to a supplier for mislabeling a pallet of ten boxes of screws, each box containing 1,000 screws. If this is the suppliers first labeling offense: Quantity Checked:1000 Quantity Nonconforming: 1 Quantity Suspect:1000 Est. Quan

16、tity Nonconforming: 1 If this is the suppliers second labeling offense: Quantity Checked:1000 Quantity Nonconforming: 1 Quantity Suspect:1000 Est. 17、uantity Nonconforming:1000 Page 12 Supplier Training Changes to GP-5 PRR Closure (section 4.3.8) A PRR is considered closed after the customer has moved the PRR from an “Open or “Rejected” status to an Approved status. A new status field is being added to GQTS. Page 13 Supplier Training Changes to G

18、P-5 Timeliness of Final Response (section 4.4.5) Suppliers will be measured on the timeliness of their final response. The following timestamps will be captured in the database only Implemented date Approved date GM will use the timestamps to calculate the following metrics: Time to Implementation (

19、Implementation date - Issue date) Time to Closure (Approved Date - Issue date) Page 14 Supplier Training Changes to GP-5 General Updates New Business Hold added to procedure (section 6.0) Issues that affect multiple plants counted as only one major disruption Page 15 Supplier Training PRR System Cha

20、nges in GQTS This field indicates whether the PRR has an impact on the Direct Run Rate. An unchecked value indicates that the PRR does not impact the Direct Run Rate of the plant. A checked value indicates that the PRR impacts the Direct Run Rate of the plant. This field will default to unchecked. P

21、age 16 Supplier Training PRR System Changes in GQTS This will automatically classify the PRR Record as both “Problem Identified” and “Implemented”. Secondary Nonconformance is set as “Line Accumulation - Only Initial Response Required” Supplier has entered only the Initial response In Step 1: Initia

22、l Response, the Conforming Material Date field is set to the first day of the month following the current month. This field is set to this default value even if the supplier user had previously input a date to this field. In Step 3: Problem Identification and Action Plan, the following fields will b

23、e set (if the user entered a value for one of these fields, the user entered value will not be changed): Root Cause drop list field to the value Other. Corrective Action Implementation Date field to current system date. Date Changes to FMEA will be Complete field to current system date. Date Changes

24、 to Process Control Plan will be Complete field to current system date. In Step 4: Implementation Process, text “Not Required” will be placed in the Institutionalized text area. 25、ault to “ Production” Default will be “Select a Category” User must make a selection that represents where the problem was found.
