I guess so.“我想是吧”;Thats it.“就是这样”;It depends.“看情况而定”。

admit o./sb.be admitted into“录取某人进入,允许某人进入”;accept“接受”,receive“收到”,announce“宣布”,均不与into搭配。 exchange“互换”;bargain“便宜货,廉价货”;trade“贸易”;business“生意”。

bring up抚养;look up抬头看,查询;pick up好转,开车接人,认出,学会;set up建造,搭起。

、一空,charge.for. allow和permit虽有“允许”之意,但只能说permit/allow sb.to do sth.;promise意思是“允诺”,不符合题意。14【解析】选C。从the three housewives come here for a

ask for“要求”;account for“说明”;call for“要求”;stand for“忍受”。故选D。. 2【解析】选A。 4

、空后面的“which was thrown rudely”是线索提示。 stay up“熬夜”;give up“放弃”;dress up“打扮”。4【解析】选A。 complain “抱怨”;criticize “批评”;a
