Namba Parks is directly linked to the Namba Train Station which is the first stop from Kansai Airport and therefore thousands of travelers pass through this station in order to make other train and metro connections

11、 after leaving the airport. The Namba Parks Project is also adjacent to the development of Namba City. Project Attributes & Elements of SuccessThe park slopes down to the street which draws people up from street level into the project. The park features trees, ponds, shrubbery and planting beds whic

12、h are available to the public for rent. The park is irrigated using recycled water from the grey water of restaurants in the complex. There is an amphitheatre component on the roof garden as well as a laser show which can be programmed for various night time events. Implications for BCC ProjectPeopl

13、e are drawn into Namba Parks because of its architectural features and landscaping. The BCC Project could focus on drawing people in by creating a feeling of excitement that spills out onto the street. 15、nd Thomas Consultants Inc.9ContextLocated in the city centre of Warsaw, Zlote Tarasy is connected to the underground pedestrian network that links to the citys historic district and the Warszawa Centralna Train Station. Centralna is the most important station in Warsaw. The project is part of a revi

16、talization scheme to bring life back to central Warsaw.Project Attributes & Elements of SuccessProject components include residential, retail, office, hotel space and links to the Warszawa Centralna Train Station. The innovative glass roof over the retail and gathering places of the project allow fo

17、r natural light to flood into all areas and keep out the elements on cool days.The purpose of the project is to tie together the fragmented features of downtown Warsaw and act as not only a transit node but a shopping centre and gathering place for visitors and locals. Surrounded by a young, affluen

18、t and dense urban population.Implications for BCC ProjectBCCs architectural features can create a not before seen landmark in the city of Beijing as Zlote Tarasy has done for central Warsaw. Before renovations it was an average train/bus station that was just serving the

21、 passengers. Now it is a destination for shopping, eating and for commuting. 25、mas Consultants Inc.13Context Potsdamer Platz is an urban redevelopment of the former Postdamer gate. It is an urban entertainment centre, mixed use centre and a multi- modal transit node in metropolitan Berlin.Project Attributes & Elements of Success The project opened in 1996. Potsdamer Platz is B

26、erlins most successful recent development, attracting over 70,000 visitors per day. Potsdamer Platz emerged from the collapse of the Berlin Wall in 1989, which provided it with a vast open area close to the citys eastern centre. Hyatt, Marriott and Ritz Carlton all have a hotel presence on site. Eur

27、opes largest construction site while under construction. Both Diamler-Chrysler and Sony have corporate headquarters on site. Entertainment includes Live Concerts, Exhibitions,Talent Search Shows, Fashion Shows, Seasonal Events. 25 million visitors/ year.Implications for BCC Project Creating an enter

28、tainment complex at a transit node is an efficient use of urban space and can create a real draw for patrons as it is easy to visit the project via bus/train. Entertainment creates a buzz and positive excitement within and near the station. Potsdamer Platz is an example of successful regeneration of

Hauptbahnhof is centrally located and now serves both east west and north south bound rail passengers. Proje

Diverse convenience- oriented tenant Mix (75%).Customer service staff are available at an information booth and throughout the station to assist travelers. Two 46 meter

32、 office buildings are planned for completion in 2008/9 and will house the Deutsche Bahn offices as well as a hotel and other businesses. Solar panels have been integrated into the glass roof design in order to provide electricity to the station. 2% of electricity is provided by these panels.Implicat
