2、4 from go for it , Book 2II.I divide my instructions into five parts, they are: Content Analysis, Teaching Method Analysis, Learning Method Analysis, Teaching Procedures and Time arrangement.Part 1. Content Analysis1. Status and Function of this lessonThis lesson is a reading lesson. The main purpos
3、e of this lesson is to talk about a girl namedYang Lei, a PekingUniversity graduate s experience as a volunteer teacher. For the students, this content is not very closed to their real life, but it s very important and necessary for our students to know the different situations of the students from
4、different parts of China. By learning it, students can improve their ability of reading and using language. At the same time, they can get an opportunity to seriously think about the questions: what is the difference between the life of themselves and the students from rural areas? How to cherish ou
5、r happy life? And how to help others?2.Teaching aims(1) Knowledge aims:a. Learn the new words and expressions in this lesson, such like village, graduate, volunteer, rural, area, etc.b. Completely understand the textc. Finsh all the important exercieses in the lesson.(2) Ability aims:a. Develop Ss a
6、bilitiesreadingof and speaking.b. Train the Ss abilities of communicating and cooperating.(3) Emotional aim:a. Get the students to know the differences between the life of themselves and the students from rural areas, to let them cherish their happy life.b. Let the students know the meanings of help

Difficult points.Learn all the new words and expression as well as finish all the important exercises in only 40 minutes.Part 2 Teaching Method Analysis
8、In this lessonI willmainly use the Task-Based Language Teaching, includingquestion- and-answer activity method, free-talk method, pair work, group work and individual work method, ect.TheNew English Curriculum Criterionpoints out that the general aim of English teaching inthe stage of Junior Educati
9、on is to cultivate students comprehensive ability of using English. Inthis case, I designed my tasks according to the New English Curriculum Criterion, I will lead my1 / 4students to study and cooperate with each other.In order to make the class lively, and make the students learn easily, I will use
10、 the multi-media computer system. It can arouse their interests of learning EnglishPart 3. Learning Method AnalysisFirst, the students must have a good preview before the class. They must preview the words about the lesson because there are a lot of difficult new words and phases in the lesson. Also
11、, before this lesson, the students should have been trained to be familiar with the teachers task-based lauguage teaching approach.They must take an active part in the class activities and complete the tasks by cooperating with others. In this way, the students can really improve their comprehensive
12、 ability of using English.Now, I will mainly talk about teaching procedures.Part 4. Teaching ProceduresStep1 Warm-up and lead-inFirst of all, I will greet my students as usual, and encourage my students to communicate with me by using What“ kind of people need our help? ”and “What can we do for them
13、? ”Ican divide my class into two groups and have a competition, the group which can give more exampleswill be the winners. In this way, the students can be cheered up。 we can arouse the students interest of study as well as lead into the new lesson.Second, check the preview homework, let the student
14、s read the new words and phrases of this lesson by showing them on the screen, exlpain them and supply more usages if necessary, such like rural areas, above sea level,(write them on the blackboard) etc. By doing this, the difficultiesof learing the new words and phrases can be cleared up, the stude
15、nts can understand the text more easily.Step 2 First-time reading.Task: read and answer the questions.I will ask the students to read the text as quickly as they can, put the given words in the correct space, then answer the questions from each paragraph. I ll show the questions on the screen, and t
16、hen let the students read and answer the questions in pairs after reading the text. The questions are:1. Who was the volunteer program started by?2. Did Yang Lei s mother agree with her daughter s decision? What did she say?3. What did the children say about their volunteer teachers?4. How did Yang
17、Lei say she could help?5. What did Yang Lei say about her time as a volunteer?By doing this activity, we can improve the students ability of reading and speaking 。 help the students understand the general idea of each paragraph. At the same time, we can finish activity 3b.Step 3 Second-time reading.
18、Task: read and learn the language points.First, let the students read the text paragraph by paragraph carefully again, then do a “true or false”exercise. I llalso show the sentences on the screen. After the students decide the sentences “true or false ”and correct the wrong sentences into right ones
19、, I llask the students to read and discuss the sentences in small groups, then explain the concrete meanings of the sentences as well as the usages of the language points. The teacher can help them and correct them if necessary.Let's take the first paragraph for example. I llgive the students th

At the same time, we can train the students ability of understanding and using language by themselves.Step 4 Consolidations.Task 1 Pair work: read and discuss. (3a)Let the students think about “What is life like for them and Yang Lei s students?”Then
24、let them complete the chart, they can discuss similarities and differences with their partners.Task 2Group work: make a survey and give a report. (4a)First, I ll teach the students some names of the world groups. Ask the students to work ingroups, make a survey about which group in the chart theyd l
25、ike to work for and explain theirreasons. Then the leader of the group can give a report beginning like this: In our group, Mary saidshe wanted to work for WWF.
