1、通 告致：各機構會員及永久個人會員執行委員會委員政策研究及倡議委員會委員由：政策研究及倡議業務總監蔡海偉事由：社會發展指數2002- 午餐研討會28/5/2002- 社聯會員研討會 4/6/2002日期：二零零二年五月十日社聯於二千年首次公布社會發展指數，發現在過去十多年，香港在科技、教育及房屋等方面都有可觀的發展，但家庭凝聚力不升反降，不少群體亦未能分享社會發展的成果。兩年過去了，最新的社會發展情況又如何？展望未來，我們又可為特區擬定怎樣的社會發展議程？ 現誠邀閣下及貴機構同工參加以下兩項活動，共同商議上述課題，詳情如下：(一) 午餐研討會 社聯將於零二年五月二十八日（星期二）下午十二時十五

2、分於香港銅鑼灣怡東酒店二樓岸濤廳舉行午餐研討會，公布社會發展指數2002結果。 社聯社會發展委員會主席石丹理教授將根據2002指數檢視香港的社會發展情況，而嶺南大學校長陳坤耀教授將作出回應。附上研討會的程序以供參閱。 是次研討會每位收費港幣270元，有興趣者請填妥附上的回條，並於五月二十一日或以前回覆。第一頁(二) 社聯會員研討會 上述研討會將於零二年六月四日（星期二）上午九時十五分於灣仔軒尼詩道15號溫莎公爵社會服務大廈一樓禮堂舉行。 根據社會發展指數資料，社聯正進行一系列聚焦小組會議，回顧及展望多個社會範疇的發展，例如房屋、文娛、衛生、經濟及勞工、第三部門、福利、長者、婦女及家庭等。聚焦小

5、 10, 2002When the Council released for the first time the Social Development Index in 2000, it was found that in the past decade or so, there was significant development in the aspects of arts and entertainment, education and housing etc in Hong Kong. However, the family solidarity had become weaker

6、 and many vulnerable population groups could not share the achievement brought along by the social development.Two years had been passed, what is the updated social development situation?Looking ahead, what sort of agenda for social development would we propose for the HKSAR? You and your colleagues

7、 are cordially invited to attend the following two events which will address the above issues. Details are as follows:1) The Luncheon SeminarThe Council will organize a luncheon seminar on May 28, 2002 (Tuesday) at 12:15pm at the Marina Rooms, 2/F, The Excelsior, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The finding

8、s of the Social Development Index (SDI) 2002 will be released.Based on the SDI data, Professor Daniel SHEK, Chairperson of Council's Specialized Committee on Social Development will review the social development of Hong Kong. Professor Edward Chen, President of Lingnan University, will respond t

10、 at 9:15am at the Auditorium, 1/F, Duke of Windsor Social Service Building, 15, Hennessy Road, Hong Kong. Based on the SDI data, a series of focus group meetings is being organized to review the progress of the various aspects of social development in Hong Kong e.g. housing, arts and entertainment,

11、economic and labour, the third sector, social welfare, elderly, women and family etc. The meetings focus on reviewing the progress in the past 5 years and making recommendations for the coming 5 years. We have involved the concerned organizations, academics and users etc. in these focus group meetin

12、gs. Professor Daniel Shek will introduce the main findings of the SDI 2002 and Ms. Christine Fang, Council's Chief Executive will share the initial recommendations on the agenda for social development as worked out by the focus groups. Last but not the least, Dr. C. K. Law will respond to the fi

13、ndings and recommendations. We would also like to hear your views on the social development agenda for the next 5 years.Please encourage colleagues to participate in this seminar which is free of charge.
