、Thoughts given by Jane EyreAfter I close the covers of the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, Jane Eyre, a marvelous figure, has left me so much to recall and to think. The writer Charlotte Bronte was born in Thornton Yorkshire in 1816.She wrote this story beyond her own experience. The
、 characters in this novel came from the people around her. With simple and fresh words in Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte portrays one womana vivid and true characterJane Eyres desperate struggle to attain her identity in the mist of temptation , isolation , and impossible odds. However, women at this ti
、me were not to feel passion, nor were they considered sexual beings. As Jane, she eloquently says Women feel just as men.In her opinion, everyone is the same at the Gods feet. The development of Jane Eyres character is related to her life environment. Jane lost both of her parents shortly after birth
、. She was grown up in a cool cold-blooded family, so she must struggle to live. She worked very hard and finally became a teacher in Lowood School. Then Jane got a position of governess in the family of Mr. Rochester, a rich squire at Thornfield Hall. She was looked down upon by the rich ladies of t
、he fashionable society, but she never despises herself, she never feels herself inferior. She was satisfied with, and even proud of her honest, independent work. Rochester was attracted to her qualify of mind, courage, independence, and strong personality, and fell in love with her. A relationship b
、etween a lowly governess and a wealthy nobleman was simply unheard of .But it was Jane Eyre who declared her love to Rochester before he made his sentiment clear to her ,“Do you think ,because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless?”she cries,“You think wrong. I have as m
、uch soul as you, and full as much heart! And if god had gifted me with some beauty, and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you. I am not talking to you through the medium of custom, conversation, nor even of mortal flesh: it is my spirit that
、 addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at Gods feet equal, as we are!”Here,“equal”is the word, she loved Rochester just because he regarded her as a human being, or more importantly, as an equal. Obviously, she was never shy to express her feelings on Mr.
、Rochester.Shakespeare said:“The course of true love never runs smooth.” After Jane knew that Mr. Rochesters wife was still alive, she left him without hesitating . In order not to impair her dignity, she thought she must leave him. She wanted to be his real wife, not his mistress. When she was away f
、rom him,it was too difficult for her not to miss Rochester wherever she went.Ultimately, she came back to look for Rochester. She learned that Thornfield hall had been burnt down, and that Rochester, attempting vainly to save his mad wife from the fire, lost one of his hands, was blind in both eyes,
、and becme a crippled man. Now Mr. Rochester is not as rich as he used to, and he is disabled. But Jane loves him more than ever and decides to stay with him and look after him for all of her life. For the beginning,i think its strange that Jane makes her strong will to be Rochesters bride in such a s
、ituation. As to Jane, she can marry a man who is much better than Mr .Rochester. Actually, not only in those days but also today, in a pair of lovers or a couple if one of them becomes disabled, maybe the other will leave him or her. But Jane is different, she considers that if you really love someo
、ne, you must love the bad along with the good. I cant help showing my admiration for her and are encouraged by such love. This pair of lovers comes together in the end. This was an idealized happy ending. Janes happy ending was hard-earned. I believe they will stay happily forever and Im happy to se
、e Janes victory. Thats the victory of all the women for a new age. As far as I am concerned, the value of a woman does not lie in her looks, her dress, and any other things that have a powerful fascination to mans eyes, but in her nature, her mind, her character and her sentiment.Thats Jane Eyre, a poor but aspiring, smal
