There are mountains, so you can also go skiing or hiking. 2: I learned about ancient Egypt in school, and Id love to visit the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. Its called
3、 “the worlds largest outdoor museum”. Today, I saw a video of a hot air balloon flying over the Valley of the Kings. It was so cool! The video also showed a person horseback riding along the Nile River. I want to do that someday.3: My dream is to go mountain biking in the French Alps someday. The ar
4、ea is famous for its beautiful mountain scenery, and I hear the bike trails are great, especially in the summer. However, in his neighborhood, there were many gang members. Martinez almost joined a gang, but then something ha
8、ppened. He failed a science class in high school. To pass the class, his teacher said, he had to join the Eco Club and work in the school garden. Later, he had a chance to do a two-week nature program in Wyoming.“I still cant find the words to describe the first moment I saw those mountains,” Martin
9、ez says. He saw animals. He went hiking in the Teton Mountains. He slept under the night sky, full of stars. The trip changed him forever. Martinez returned to Los Angeles and his grades improved. He finished school and in time, he went to college. Today, he works for an organization that connects c

18、n epic journey. Together, the teams traveled across the entire length of the United States of America. And they did it traveling only on public land. Public land is land that is owned and cared for by the government. The United States government cares for over 1 million square kilometers of public l
19、and. Some areas are kept safe to protect the plants and animals that live there, others, simply to preserve the countrys natural and historical treasures. Before the journey, both teams must prepare and pack carefully. The travelers are volunteers who care deeply about the public lands and want to h

21、ates, just outside Mexico, Team South is starting their trek in the Chihuahuan Desert. These were once the lands of the Pueblo people, who lived here a thousand years ago. It also perhaps has the largest number of different kinds of animals and plants of any desert in the world. Meanwhile, on the northern border of the U.S., just outside Canada, Team North begins their journey with a hike through the beautiful forests of Glacier National Park.
