The cytoplasm is pinkish and contains many fine reddish-purple granules. n3.Eosi

3、nophils: its nucleus is usually 2 lobes, and the cytoplasm is full of large, bright red or orange granules that are even distributed. n4.Basophils: they are rare and hard to be found out. The main feature is that the cytoplasm is filled with coarse dark-purple granules, size and distribution of whic

4、h are varying. A nucleus is often obscured with granules.n5.Lymphocytes: The small lymphocytes are slightly larger than RBCs. The nucleus is round or indented, and its chromatin is condensed and stained deep purple. The cytoplasm is scanty and light blue in color, and may contain a few azurophilic g

Medium-sized and large lymphocytes have less dense nucleus and more cytoplasm.n6.Monocytes: they are the largest cells in the smear with ovoid, kidney or horseshoe shaped nucleus that is more lightly stained than that of lymphocytes. The cytoplasm is abundant and stains bluish-gray with many fine azurophilic granules.n7.Platelets: they are some small bodies about 3m in diameter often in clumps.
