2、use Hrothgar helped his father once. Beowulf defeated Grendel, and he got much wealth from Hrothgar. However, Grendels mother, decided to revenge for her son. And Beowulf beat that monster again under the lake. This time, he got more. After that Beowulf came back to his kingdom, and to be a King. Bu

3、t one day, a Dragon come to attack his kingdom, he still went to fight with Dragon, he won, but he got causing death to die, soon, he died. The people make the big enormous barrow to commemorate their lost king, Beowulf.BODY 1:Beowulf was brave, in the first battle, he defeated the Monster, he behav

4、ior his spirit. In the first battle, the monster called Grendel was fierce; it had killed many people and eaten a lot of people. All the people who wanted to kill it, wear the corselet and use the weapons, they still lost. Beowulf without any weapons just uses his power, his arms to defeat Grendel.

5、And he got much fortune that he should get. The first time, he was brave and powerful; his power was nobody could defeat. This time, he is not far himself, but for others. In this poem, there is a sentence that said I have heard, too, that the monsters scorn of men is so great that he needs no weapo

6、ns and fears none. Nor will I. my lord Higlac might think less of me if I let my sword go where my feet were afraid to, if I hid behind some broad linden shied: my hands alone shall fight for me, struggle for life against the monster. He was confident and he also believed his own power. And the other sentences like Grendel saw that his stre

8、ngth was deserting him, his claws bound fast, Higlacs brave follower tearing at his hands. The monsters hatred rose higher, but his power had gone. He twisted in pain, and the bleeding sinews deep in his shoulder snapped, muscle and bone split and broke. The battle was over, Beowulf had been granted

9、 new glory: Grendel escaped, but wounded as he was could flee to his den, his miserable hole at the bottom of the marsh, only to die, to wait for the end of all his days （Prologue literature Beowulf Canto12 pg.124 line 21）.From these sentences, we can see Beowulfs power was strong. The words of mons

10、ter, was setting off Beowulfs power was nobody can defeat.BODY 2:And in the second battle, Grendels mother came to avenge for his son. She caught an important person of this kingdom, and Beowulf followed her to a cave. Its the monsters home. They started a long struggle. At last, Beowulf killed Gren

11、dels mother with a devil sword. Cut her head, came back to the kingdom. Next day, he got the more fortune back to his hometown. The second time, in the fighting, he had a little experience from the first time. He was more powerful and as a hero, maybe it was to change, this he wanted to solve all pr

12、oblems about the monsters. In this part of the poem has these sentences that the mighty water witch, and swung his sword, his ring-marked blade, straight at her head; the iron sang its fierce song, sang Beowulfs strength. But her guest discovered that no sword could slice her evil skin that Hrunting

13、 could not hurt her, was useless now when he needed it. They wrestled, she ripped and tore and clawed at him, bit holes in his helmet, and that too failed him; for the first time in years of being worn to war it would earn no glory; it was the last time anyone would wear it. But Beowulf longed only

14、for fame, leaped back into battle. He tosses his sword aside, angry; the steel-edged blade lay where hed dropped it. If weapons were useless hed use his hands, the strength in his fingers. So fame comes to the men who mean to win it and care about nothing else! He raised his arms and seized her by t

From these words of describe the fighting, we can see that Beowulf met the trouble but he never afraid, he still persist in fighting. We have known his power and strong,

Thats his soul, his spirit.BODY 3:After 50 years peaceful life under the king Beowulf's dominate, a powerful dragon breaks the peaceful life, although Beowulf was too old to fight, but as he is a king and used be overweening arrogant, he decided to got back his sword and fight wi

17、th the dragon, he prove he is a real hero, Beowulf custom made a special shield, he known he will be die in his fight, but even he knew that, he still went to defeat the dragon, he proves his power and brave heart again. Just as Beowulfd expected, he killed the dragon, but he also died by dragon tox

18、in, he sacrifice himself to protect his kingdom, he is a real hero at all.Everyone will have the time to afraid or something. Even Beowulf would die slightly in last fight. But he still went to fight the Dragon, even though he was died at last. He was so brave and powerful. Because he defeated himse

19、lf in the mind. He was a hero, this time he was fighting for himself, for his kingdom. And he was won, although get hurt. It also honor and strong. In this part of the poem, Beowulf said that I need no hot words. Wait for me close by, my friend, we shall see, soon, who will survive this bloody battl

20、e, stand when the fighting is done. No one else could do what I mean to. Here no man but me could hope to defeat this monster. No one cry. And this dragons treasure, his gold and everything hidden in that tower, will be mine or war will sweep me to a bitter death! (Prologue literature Beowulf Canto3

21、5 pg.133 line 19) From this, we can see, Beowulf had the determination to beat the Dragon. Even he would die; he still went to fight and tries to defeat the Dragon. He was so courageous; he was the real hero this time.CONCLUSION:From the poem, the story, we knew that Beowulf was in the three battle.

22、 First time, he won easily, and then more and more difficult. But he still defeated the three monsters. On first time, he got many riches, the second time, he got more riches, and last time, he died. But he got the real glory. We can see, he was brave and powerful.
