Its also used for virtual forms of things that were traditionally in the physical world, such as electronic stores and electronic books.If these distinctions are accurate, then all electric and electronic devices are electrical, and all electronic devices are electric, but not all electric

21、aquel literally are), or, by extension, “a colorful personality” (what Raquel has). A fourth usage is “the distinctive nature of a person or thing,” a meaning reflected in the word's origins. It's important to distinguish between countable and uncountable nouns in English because their usage

27、 is different in regards to both determiners and verbs.Countable nouns are for things we can count using numbers. They have a singular and a plural form. The singular form can use the determiner "a" or "an". If you want to ask about the quantity of a countable noun, you ask "

28、;How many?" combined with the plural countable noun.Uncountable nouns are for the things that we cannot count with numbers. They may be the names for abstract ideas or qualities or for physical objects that are too small or too amorphous to be counted (liquids, powders, gases, etc.). Uncountabl

29、e nouns are used with a singular verb. They usually do not have a plural form. We cannot use a/an with these nouns. To express a quantity of an uncountable noun, use a word or expression like some, a lot of, much, a bit of, a great deal of, or else use an exact measurement like a

30、 cup of, a bag of, 1kg of, 1L of, a handful of, a pinch of, an hour of, a day of. If you want to ask about the quantity of an uncountable noun, you ask "How much?"Tricky Spots· Be careful with the conversions between countable and uncountable nouns. Some uncountable nouns can be conve

31、rted to countable nouns when i) referring to individual stuff, ii) having specific modifiers, iii) with meaning changed.· Some nouns are countable in other languages but uncountable in English. They must follow the rules for uncountable nouns. The most common ones are:accommodation, advice, bag

How to address an envelope when you write a letter in English?The physical appearance of a letter consists of the paper and t

33、he envelope. The first thing a recipient sees is the envelope. It is essential that it should be of suitable quality with the name and address spelt correctly.The name and address of the recipient should be centered on the envelope or in the lower right part of the front. Make sure the address begin

34、s far enough down on the face of the envelope so that it will not be covered by the postmark.Things to include in a mailing address:Line 1: the receivers name, followed by the courtesy title, job title or rank.Line 2: the name of the company, college, institution or the building.Line 3: the street,

40、hod of organization in which actions or events are presented as they occur (or occurred) in time. Also called chronological and linear order.Narratives and process analysis essays commonly rely on chronological order. Morton Miller points out that the "natural order of eventsbegi

41、nning, middle, and endis narrations simplest and most-used arrangement" (Reading and Writing Short Essays, 1980)."Time order, sometimes called sequential order or chronological order, is a frequently used pattern in informative speeches. When you use time order, you organize your
