1、高级综合英语课程教学大纲Advanced English课程代码：课程性质：专业基础必修课适用专业：英语专业（科技和翻译方向）、商务英语专业总学分数：12总学时数：192修订年月：2009.9 课程简介(中文)：本课程英语专业（经贸和翻译方向）、商务英语专业三年级必修的专业基础课程。本课程是一门训练学生综合英语技能，尤其是阅读理解、语法、修辞、语篇与各类文体分析和写作能力的课程。通过阅读和分析内容广泛的材料，扩大知识面，深化对地道英语表达、经典文献、各类文体语篇的认知和理解和赏析，并以此感知和了解社会和人生，尤其是深化对当代西方社会、政治、历史、文化、文学等各方面的认知和理解；同时通过修辞、文

4、ents set in the National Syllabus of Higher Educationfor Senior English Majors.(8) Course Content:  Advanced English is a course offered to English majors from Semester 5 toSemester 6,whichinvolves essentially critical reading of nearly thirty texts of various subjectmatters and styles. The tex

5、t books Advanced English(Books I and II)(3rd Edition) published by the ForeignLanguage Teaching and Research Press   provide the main material forreading and analysis and they basically serve the main source material forterminal testing and assessment. This course requires that, upon an integra

6、tionof the background knowledge from various sources relevant to each specific textinto their teaching activity, teachers help to improve students ability tounderstand more deeply the Western politics, economy, history and culture. Onthe basis of an adequate and insightful analysis of the reading ma

7、terial andall kinds of interactional activities between teachers and students in andoutside the classroom, students are required to simulate the style of theoriginal in writing in terms of rhetorical devices and discoursal mechanism.Through students full participation and teachers conscientious inst

13、一个单元，因此第五学期约可完成从第一册所挑选的九课，第六学期完成第二册中的九课。    本课程要求任课教师融会与所教课文相关的背景材料，通过对各类题材的文本详细的讲解和评析以及各种课堂和课后的师生互动，使学生比较深入地了解西方的政治、经济、历史、文化和文学；同时要求学生在理解词汇、表达法的基础上，熟悉并模仿当代英语中的各种地道的表达方式，包括各种常用的修辞格和语篇技巧，通过听课和讨论，大量的有规律的课后写作和翻译练习，辅以教师的精心设计、批改和点评，真正能使学生在专业技能上一个新台阶，既能够顺利通过全国英语专业八级考试，又能够为毕业论文写作打下坚实的基础，这也是培养高级英语

15、#160;课程年级教学的基本要求： 1、三年级第一学期   （1）阅读： 能读懂难度相当于美国Times New York Times的社论和政论文章；能读懂难度相当于TheGreat Gatsby的文学原著，难度相当于The Rise and Fall of the ThirdReich的历史传记。要求在理解的基础上分析文章的观点、篇章结构和文体风格。 阅读速度每分钟120-140个单词，理解准确率不低于75%。能在5分钟内速读1000词左右的文章，掌握文章的主旨和大意。    （2）语法： 较好地掌握句段之间的衔接手段，如照应、省略、替代等。

16、60;  （3）能写故事梗概、读书报告、课程论文以及正式的书信和文书等。要求语法正确，表达得体并具一定的思想深度。写作速度约为30分钟250-300个单词。 2、三年级第二学期   （1）阅读：能读懂一般英美报纸杂志上的社论和书评、英语国家出版的有一定难度的历史传记和文学作品；能分析上述题材文章的思想观点、语言特点和修辞手法。能在5分钟内速读1200词左右的文章，掌握文章主旨大意，理解事实和细节。    （2）语法：熟练使用各种衔接手段和修辞方法，自然连贯地表达思想观点。    （3）写作：能写各种体裁的文章，作到内容充实，

17、语言通顺，用词得当，表述得体。写作速度为30分钟300-400个单词。能撰写长度为3000-5000个单词的毕业论文，要求思路清晰，内容充实，语言通顺地道。 四、本课程与其它课程的联系与分工   先修课程：基础综合英语（为本科基础阶段专业基础课程，可为专业四级测试做必要的准备）；    后续课程：高级英语散文阅读（为本科提高阶段专业高级主干课程，可为专业八级测试和毕业论文写作做必要的准备）。 五、建议教材及教学参考书   建议教材：    张汉熙、王立礼，主编，高级英语（第一、第二册）（第三版），北京：外语教学与研
