1、Teaching PlanUnit6 Do you like bananas?Section A (1a1c)1.Teaching aims and DemandsAccording to “The New English Curriculum Standards” and students actual conditions, Ill confirm the following teaching aims.1).Knowledge AimsIn this period, Ill try my best to enable students to master the key words ab

2、out food : banana, strawberry ,tomato, salad ,hamburger ,bread ,ice-cream, milk by showing the object pictures. The other aim is that Ill teach students how to talk about their likes and dislikes by using the present tense.2)Ability AimsThe first aim is to foster students abilities of communication

3、and cooperation.The second aim is to develop students habits of thinking and communicating in English .The third aim is to train students listening and speaking skills.3)Moral AimsIn this lesson, Ill get students to realize no matter what food they like or dislike , they should keep good habits and

4、eat healthily so that they can enjoy their lives. Meanwhile , students can have a better understanding of other and strengthen their good friendship through the questions of food preferences.2.Teaching Focus and Difficulties This unit focuses on learning the General Questions of the verb “like by us

5、ing Present Tense and the positive answers and negative answers. The differences between “do” and “does” might obstruct students. They might get confused in when to use “do” ,when to use “does “. And also its difficult to tell “dont” and “doesnt”. So I think I should teach students how to use “do” a

6、nd “dont” in this class. Another teaching difficulty is the differences between countable nouns and uncountable nouns.3.Teaching AidsAccording to the teaching syllabus, I think its very necessary for teachers to use modern teaching aids to help with our teaching .Its of great help to enhance our tea

7、ching result . It can make our classes more lively and interesting , and also make students reach a better understanding of the text .So, the use of CAI will be through my teaching procedure.4.Teaching Procedure In order to achieve the teaching aims and demands mentioned above, I ll have arrangement

8、s as following this .Step1 Lead-in Interest is the best teacher of study .For the sake of the stimulating students interest, Ill start my lesson with an English childrens rhyme. And then ask students whether they like it or not and show me their reasons . Therefore , the basic pattern “Do you like?,

9、 /No, I dont.” can be led to the new class without any problem.Step2.Presentation After enjoying an interesting childrens rhyme, Ill design some tasks to guide students to discuss their likes and dislikes by using the present tense. This part consists of three tasks.Task1 Show pictures of different

10、kinds food so as to learn the new words , Then play a game “Quick Eyes”. Ask students to guess whats in the fridge. This task is designed to enable students to master the key words and the correct use of plural nouns.Task2 Attached to facial expression patterns, Ill display pictures of different kin

11、ds of food again. Then ask students to answer if they like the foods by using the facial expression patterns. This task is designed to get students to learn the new target language , and also make students identify the healthy food and unhealthy foods.Task3 Make a survey Ask students what they like

12、and dislike about food . They can give answers combined with their actual situations . Then according to their preferences, let them make their own sentences with the pattern “I like ” or “I dont like”. This task is designed to promote the mutual understanding between students and cultivate their co

13、mpetence of thinking in English.Step3 Practice and Consolidation In this part , Ill design three tasks to practice and consolidate the target language. They are also used to develop students abilities of communication and cooperation.Task1Focus attention on the picture of 1a in students book . Get s

14、tudents to match the words with the things in the picture.Task2 Listening Match Point to the food students have just identified and them to repeat the name of each one. Then play the recording for students two times. Ask them to number the conversations 1-3.Task3 Pair work Have students practice the

15、 conversations with their partners. - Do you like? -Yes, I do . - Do you like? -No, I dont .Then let them make their own conversations. Step4 Summary In this class , weve learned the names of foods and practiced asking and answering questions about likes and dislikes . Ill write down the key words a

16、nd target language on the blackboard so that students can have a whole understanding of what theyve learnt.Step5. Homework Make a food survey . Get students to work in group . Ask them about the food in the chart by using the General Questions. Find out what they like and what they dislike. Then fill in the chart. 5.Teaching Effect Prediction My students are re
