2、 for people throughout history.2_ Famous n ames like Christopher Columbus and Amerigo Vespucci graced my history textbooksgrowing up, with stories of theirexplorations. Much of what we know about themis through the letters they wrote to people back in Europe.There were two main reasons why these ear

3、ly explorers wrote letters. 3 The other reason for writingletters was to assure and update the people who financed their trips.These so-called sponsors were often noblemen or wealthy people who had a personal interest in worlddiscoveries. Letters from explorers would raise hopes that new lands could

4、 bring more riches.When the British bega n buildi ng colonies(殖民地)in America duri ng the 17th cen tury,these lands were settled by people who sailed across the Atla ntic Ocea n.4 Theirletters were mixed with n ews of ill ness as well as details of their exotic(异国的)surro undin gs.5 With the widesprea

10、more protein(蛋白质),like meat , chicken , or fish.Avoid holiday stress. Cut back if you have too many things to do. Make sure you havesomequiet time to yourself.9 Get somerest. Studies show that most tee ns n eed aboutnine hours of sleep each night. The average teen, though, gets only about six or sev

11、en hours of sleep perni ght.Get help. Be cautious if you feel sad all the time and the feeli ng wont go away.10_ Talk to an adult who you trust or get help from a doctor.A. 17、and, actually running a marath on may help boostyour ability to concen trate, as exercise is show n to have many ben efits for the brain.While you don t n ecessarily have to run 26 miles before class or work, doing exercisein the morning can get your blood flow ing towards your brain.15A.Do not skip
