So many people regard English as the most popular second lang

4、uage in our daily life, and the importance of learning English has attracted more and more peoples attention. Nowadays, people are crazy about learning English, but many people cant find the ways which much more suit themselves. If we want to learn English well, we must grasp good English habits. In

The Importance of Learning EnglishEverybody knows that English is the most widely used international language of today. Its spoken by more than half

6、of people in the world. Some people speak English as their native language, and some speak it as a second language. By learning English we can enlarge our horizon and increase our knowledge because we shall have a better chance of reading various kinds of books, newspapers, or magazines. We can unde

7、rstand cultural differences between Chinese and western. Thus we can get an overall view of their cultural history and process cultural exchange.English is also useful in other different fields of our life such as business and commerce. With the arrival of the era of globalization, bilateral trade a

8、ndmultilateral trades are commonly ways of trade communication. So English is the bridge that we can communication with foreigners. Moreover, if we can learn English well, we may have the more detail understanding about western countries trade rules. Indeed, many businessmen build their success upon

9、 their good knowledge of English.English is particular important in the fields of science, medical science and new technology. There are many scientific books we cant read without a good English foundation. Living in the modern society, we would not be completely ignorant of either many scientific f

10、acts or new technologies.Learning English is not only because of international needs, but also for us. We can benefit much useful information from English and know the different culture between Chinese and Western countries. Andin order to increase knowledge and expand our horizon, communication wit

Difficulties in Learning English Well due to Bad Learning HabitsSome people often say that “its difficult for me to learn English well even though I work hard.” As we all know that learning English well is not easy, we should pay too much. 12、in learning English, we may have few bad habits and that may the reason why we cant learn English well. First of all, “Three days spread fishnets fishing two days”, which exist in many people? They have no patience or determination, when face to difficult they will give up.Its bad for us. Attitude d

13、ecides everything, learning English well is a long process so that we must insistence, and its also the primary element in the learning process. Secondly, pay too much attention to methods and techniques. Using language is a kind of skill, but acquiring skill is needed to accumulate day by day. If w

14、e pay too much attention in it will occupy our time and energy so that we may ignore study. Thus it will have an adverse effect on learning.Thirdly, we dont learn to review. Review is an important link in learning English, it not only good for mastering knowledge, but also for learning new knowledge

15、. But today, many people only care about speed, they think that speed is the most useful; they dont want to spend time in reviewing. After a period of time, they will find they master a little knowledge. Fourthly, think little of listening training. Listening is essential, if we learning English by

16、reading and memorizing words, the level of English wont improve.Due to bad learning habits, we have difficulties to learn English well. If we want to improve our English level, we must cultivate some good habits to help us learn English well. Methods of Good Habits Cultivation3.1Cultivate the Daily

17、Habit of Reading, Listening and SpeakingListening, speaking and reading are basic part of English,so cultivate the capacity of these three aspects is indispensable. I will say reading first. Why we should cultivate the daily habit of reading? Because reading is the foundation of develop other Englis

18、h skills.First, reading can cultivate and enhance our language sense. Language sense is very important and it determines whether you speak language pure or not, and formation of language sense need spend much time to read. Reading is also the immediate way to cultivate language sense. With this sens

19、e we can read more fluent, improve our reading speed, even though you can get mental encouragement from reading and improve yourself in all aspects. Neil J. Anderson said that “Developing reading fluency means improving your reading speed and comprehension at the same time.” So in order to improve o

20、ur English we should reading everyday, a piece of English newspaper, a short article or other reading materials are our choice to read. Well benefit much from reading. Then, reading can expand our vocabulary. Vocabulary is the basic unit of the language. Its impossible to learn English well without

21、vocabulary. We should develop other English skills at basic of grasp quite a bit vocabulary. But how to memorize words make us puzzled.Some students memorize words by reciting word book and dictionary, this method has a certain effect but very boring, whats worse, its easy to forget. In fact, there

22、are many ways to memorize words except rote. Such as reading, its the best way to master and memorize words. It means that we put the new words into specific language environment, so we can understand how to use new words correctly. In that way, its easy to memorize new words. In addition, letter co

23、mbinations pronunciation (字母组合读音) and sound mark (音标) are useful too. Next, our comprehensive ability will better and better by reading. The purpose of learning English are communication with others and can read articles. Many people may have the same situation like this: when we face to long senten

24、ces or complex sentences we cant understand them easily. But if we reading time after time, well find this problem is solved. And our writing level also can benefit from reading, with the accumulation of reading, writing will easy to us.Readingplays an important role in learning English, if you have

Listening is input andit has a big relation between listening and English level. And listening may be the key to learn English well. But today, many students ar

There is a method to help us improve our listening efficiency. Intensive and extensive listening is commonly used in listening. When we

27、 practice listening, we should extensive listening and listen to the fine combination. We should figure out every word in the article. After listening many times, you will know this article very well. Improve listening needs long time, we must keep practicing and dont give up. Adhere to listen more;

Our ultimate purpose of learning English is speaking, so that speaking is indispensable to English. But man

31、y students are afraid of speaking too, they are shy to exchange their thoughts with others in English, they also fear to say something wrong. Learning English need us to speak bravely. English corner is the best choice, in that specific environment, we can speak English easier, communication with ea

32、ch other and learn about different kinds of culture. This will help you boost your confidence and open your eyes. We should speak every day, as well as reading and listening. 3.2 Cultivate the Habit of Imitating and RecitingCultivate the habit of imitating means we listen to the tapes and repeat aga

33、in. In this process we can correct our pronunciation and make our pronunciation purer. English learners make a point of obtaining correct pronunciation and intonationis very important. Making different symbols in articles, such as rising and falling tones. When we reading, we should pay attention to

34、 the pronunciation and intonation, so that we can get a very beautiful pronunciation.With listening and imitating, we will find our language sense is better, even though our listening level. By imitating we will master the pure pronunciation and understand details easier. Thus our listening level wi

35、ll be enhancing. So the habit of imitating also helpful for learn English well. Well make it by listening to some text records and imitate their accents and tone. I know cultivate the habit of reciting is controversial. But the benefit of reciting is undisputed. English learners suffer from without

36、language environment, but reciting is one of the ways to create the language environment. And reciting has its meaning. First, reciting is also good for cultivating our language sense. In the process of reciting, we practice our pronunciation and intonation, meanwhile through teachers correction and

37、 other guidance, the more we are reciting, and the better we master the English pronunciation and intonation. Whats more, we are sensitive to language, and our language sense is more and more strong.Then, reciting can deepen our reading comprehensive. When we learning, we may meet with some sentence

But with a stock of knowledge, the ability of understand improved and thinking ability enhance, we learn to analysis, summarization and judgment, so that we can understand exactly. 39、ntly.”Finally, writing skills also can be improved. Writing need to gain materials, if we recite many articles we may accumulate a plenty of beautiful sentences and words for writing. And when we need to write an article, the beautiful sentences that we have learned always inspire us. So that our wr

By the way, we should choose those books which suitable for ourselves to recite.Language learning is the process of imitating and reciting, we must realize the importance of them and try our best to do it.3.3 Cultivate the Habit of Extending In-class Learning to Extracurricula

41、r LearningIn-class learning is not enough, we should extend in-class learning to extracurricular learning. Teachers always teach us professional knowledge and skills in the class, we should find more detail knowledge to fill of professional knowledge and expand our horizon. In addition, learning lan

42、guage need abundance of input and output, which require us to extensive reading to increase input.And readingis a premise and foundation of the information input, we also can consolidate the knowledge we have already learn. Different kinds of books give us different knowledge, and language learning

43、needs the support of different knowledge, so extracurricular learning is urgently. We should cultivate the habit of learning English by many ways. In the modern society, with the development of technology, we have many ways to learn English, such as learning on the Internet, join English corner, tak

The most important thing is that we should keep interestin learning English.3.4 Cultivate the Habit of Thinking in EnglishEveryone knows that thinking in English is a key issue for us to speak English fluently. We are Chinese and of course we think in Chinese rather tha

45、n English. After all, Chinese and English are two different systems, if we always thinking in Chinese we would speak English not pure. So it requires us to cultivate the habit of thinking in English.But this is really the hardest thing in English learning is the transformation of the way of thinking

46、 from Chinese to English. We all know “Rome Wasn't built in a Day.” We should try our best to do what we can do for it. For example,in daily life, we may ask ourselves to develop the ability to shift between English and Chinese thinking.Concretely we can cultivate this habit by reading writing a
