People of Burlington are bein

I left the church with the sound of 2.

、明词义: now and than 不时地; day and night 日以继夜; up and down 上上下下; over and over 一遍又一遍。4. 5. B do damage对损坏。

24. Dlaw 法律。25. A 离开用left。 I climbed the stairs sl

、the doorD.the floorB.wonderingC.smilingD.guessingB.less paleC.less redD.paleB.thereC.laterD.thenB.friendsC.studentsD.fellows雷区诊断这篇文章的内容与学生们的学校生活很贴近。 I climbed the stairs slowly , carrying a big suitcase ,by the t

、ime I go tothe third floor,字里行间流露出"累”的感觉,因此答案D tired。但学生中有大部分A.helpless.

My duty is get you away. (让你离开这里 ) I can't get them all in. Get him into achair and calmed down 相呼应,此处应选 D: get。7.

、out,答案是B。8. D, I would have to spend the rest of the year with the girls 。9. A 上文提到父亲上楼时摔了一跤,腿受了伤,因此可以推测此时行走是有困难的,而不是 in a hurry 或 with firm steps,更不是 in wonder,所以答案是 A: with difficulty 。10.

13. B 根据下文: the room wasn't

、 empty at all! 14. A 下文的 I turned the key in the lock 表明最后她找到了她的房间,因此答案是 A: Finally 。15. 比较四个选项 : B 项 only 和 C 项even都不符合文章的意思; A项yet不能用于肯定句,也不对, D项still意为“仍然”, 符合

下文的but 以及 theroom wasn't empty at all! It had furniture , curtains, a TV , and even paintings on the walls.

21. A 下文 “And of course you're Mr.Faber ”,表明Amy是在与作者的父亲谈话,所以 此处应填 A: Dad 。22. 看看下文她说的“ Would you like a glass of iced tea?”

此处显然指关于雪人的传说 (story),而且下文第三段有“the story of the Yetis ”。 37. D 根据下一句中“ in the

38. C know of “听说,了解” ;hear from “收到某人的来信” ;care for “喜欢,照料”; read about"读到有关的报道”。39. 41. D continued “继续,延续”。

选项B.declared 一词干扰性很大。

46. C ordinary “普通的,平常的”,“大多数人相信这些脚印仅仅是普通动物的踪迹”。47. 50. C again “又一次,再一次”。

、ee”51. B actually “实际上,事实上”。52. C takeseriously “指拿当真”,“认为是真的”。53. A succeed in doing sth.相当于 manage to do sth,"成功地做成某件事”。54. I played a racqu
