3、量的硫，微量元素主要有铝、镁、钙、硅、铜、铁、锰等元素。它主要是由琥珀脂酸、琥珀松香酸、琥珀酸盐和琥珀油等物质组成的，含少量的硫化氢。我国的系统宝石学定义的琥珀是中生代白垩纪(1.37亿年)到新生代第三纪的松柏科树脂。大多宝石级琥珀是1500万4000万年形成的，时代最老的琥珀产自黎巴嫩，形成时间大约距今1.35亿年。不同琥珀的组成有一定的差异。琥珀是一种非晶质体，能形成各种不同的外形，原料形状有结核状、瘤状、水滴状或各种不规则形等。表面可见一些树木年轮或表面具有放射状纹理，有的表面成砂糖状。砾石状的琥珀有一层不透明的皮膜。 琥珀常常产于煤层中。琥珀的熔点1 5 0l 8 0，燃点250375

4、。就是说琥珀在150时开始变软，250时熔融，产生白色蒸气。琥珀熔化后产生的气体有一种芳香味。琥珀易溶于硫酸和热的硝酸中。部分溶于酒精、汽油、乙醇和松节油中。琥珀的颜色有浅黄、蜜黄、黄至深褐色、橙色、红色、白色。少见绿色、淡紫色、蓝色。琥珀的颜色主要与所含的成分、琥珀的年代、温度等有关。琥珀受热颜色会加深，年代久远的琥珀因氧化颜色会加深。含有木屑的琥珀颜色深，含有黄铁矿的琥珀颜色深，含有大量的腐殖土会分解大量的硫磺酸也会加深琥珀的颜色。琥珀酸的含量越少，琥珀颜色越显得清澈透明。含碳酸岩成分形成了蓝色的琥珀。火山附近的琥珀，受到土壤中的硫化物成分影响，带有荧光特点，例如西西里岛靠近埃特纳火山的琥
