1、 希望英语示范课HOPE ENGLISH SERIES武汉科技大学城市学院 梁熹 09.8 太原我校高职高专英语教学(基础英语)开设专业:城市学院专科各专业开设学期:1-3学期开设课程名称:大学英语/教材:希望英语(1-3册)我校高职高专英语教学总体安排三学期英语教学总学时:216学时每学期教学总学时:72学时每教学周学时:4学时每学期教学时间:18周我校学生生源情况城市学院目前在校生共1万5千人左右城市学院本科每年共招生:2200人城市学院专科每年共招生:1500人希望英语系列教材在我校已经使用四年时间。在这四年期间,希望英语系列教材以其丰富的内容,新颖的形式,活泼生动的文章,深受老师,学生

2、的喜爱。成为我校专科各专业英语教育中较权威的系列教材。同时,希望英语系列教材为专科各专业学生通过湖北省英语能力应用等级考试(简称英语三级考试)提供了相当全面,细致的辅导。使我校专科学生三级考试通过率一直处于较高水平。据统计,我校每年英语三级通过率保持在80%以上(第二,三学期累计),个别专业或班级可达到90%。希望英语教材使用感受1.综合教程(学生用书)1)话题时代性,趣味性强,贴近学生生活。例如大学生活(college life),体育(sports), 音乐(music),旅游(travel),宠物(pets)等等。2)任务型设计所有的活动围绕任务展开,各种任务通过听,说,阅读,语法,应用

3、文写作让学生习得语言,学生能积极参与,有成就感。3)教材起点符合学生的水平高职学生基础较差,很多学生没有掌握高中阶段的英语知识。该教材的词汇、语法、句子成分,都定位于高中水平,这就使学生的英语基础与教材之间有了有效的衔接,使学生能够学得下去,不会有畏难情绪。4)活动设计很有启发性,也给老师留下了自由发挥的空间。如 role play, presentation, language points 等等。2.教师用书将学生课本、教学指导、教案与答案融为一体,采用与学生用书对照排版的形式,减轻了老师的负担,为教学提供方便。3.学习卡活页形式,为学生提供练习题和学习方法指导。“学习策略卡”有效地指导学
