5、，如here、there、above below over under等词语来连接两个 句子。教材第26-27页的“TRAVEL PERU”一文中就有两处使用了这一组句手段：A short flight from Cusco takes you from the Andes into the Amazon rainforest.Fromthere, youll spend one day travelling by boat to your accommodation in the middle of theforest.这两个句子就是用介词From加副词there所构成的介词短语连接起来的。

9、以通过浏览文本的标题(titles)、信息标题(headers)、图片(pictures)、图表(charts)和其它信息把握文本的主要特征。首先看介绍 Peru 的这一文本(PERU is a country . official language of Peru)。该局部从地理位置、地形特点和政治历史方面介绍了秘鲁的客观情况，其目的是给读者提供关于秘 鲁的事实性信息，符合百科全书的文本特点(giving information about different areas of oneparticular subject),故该短文是百科全书类文本。接下来，我们看“TRAVEL PERU”局
