Students should not only learn v
2、ocabulary and grammar, but also understand the cultural habits and ways of thinking in English-speaking countries in order to learn English better. The revised Compulsory English Curriculum Standards has proposed four key competencies: language ability, cultural character, thinking quality and learn
3、ing ability. The four key capabilities can promote each other as a whole. Language ability is the basic element, cultural characteristics are the value orientation, thinking quality is the psychological guarantee, and learning ability is the condition for development. Therefore, our training goal sh
4、ould be to enable students to become personnel with international vision and cross-cultural communication skills. Overall Design: This lesson aims to develop students comprehensive language application ability in talking about the number and color of the items learned in the first four units. Meanwh
5、ile, students linguistic and cultural knowledge will be enriched through speaking and listening activities. In this lesson, Natural approach, Task-based Teaching Method and Situational Approach are used to create certain scene and build an interesting situation for the students to practice, assist t
6、hem to be more confident in using English. It will help them to form the habit of active learning.Teaching ContextAnalysis of teaching material:综合应用课 In lesson 1 and lesson 2, the theme is introduced by a dialogue, new words and sentence patterns are given. Students can also review the sentence patt
7、ern “Whats this? Its a” learned in unit 3. The theme “colour” is given in the title. In lesson 3, the first part expands the use of words and sentence patterns learned by presenting a game. The second part provides a new colour song, it contains a new word “rainbow”. Analysis of students in grade 1:
