1、Unit 7 Its raining. Period 1Section A 1 (1a-1c) 一、教材分析 这一单元的中心话题是Describe the weather,语法现象是Present Progressive Tense。因此如何问答“Hows the weather ? What are you doing? Whats he/she doing?是单元教学的重点。我所讲的内容是人教版七年级下Unit 7 Its raining的第一课时,本节课的重点是学习描述天气的形容词,问天气的句式并复习现在进行时,要求学生不但要熟练地掌握现在进行时态,而且要会运用这一时态描述在各种天气背景
2、下人们的活动。二、学情分析 谈论天气与我们的日常生活有关,加以多媒体素材形象配合,学生学习起来兴趣浓,比较直观易接受。复习“现在进行时“时采用让学生感兴趣的图片设置情景,贴近实际,学生容易掌握教学内容。从而激发学生学习的自觉性,积极性,主动性。三、教学目标1知识目标:(1)Master the vocabulary::raining/ windy/ cloudy/ sunny/ snowing/ weather/ Moscow/ Boston/Beijing/ Toronto /Shanghai (2)Master and use: -Hows the weather in Moscow. ?
3、 -Its raining/ snowing. -Its windy/ cloudy/ sunny/ rainy/ snowy.(3)继续巩固现在进行时态的用法。2能力目标:(1)通过对本单元的学习,学生能掌握本单元出现的表示天气的形容词,询问天气的句式及灵活运用现在进行时态。(2)通过丰富的课堂活动和创造性任务,把所学的语言与学生的生活实际结合起来,培养学生自主学习英语的能力,运用英语交流合作的能力。3、过程与方法: 对于本课的单词,句型的教学,主要是通过创设情景,使所学知识更具有吸引力,同时降低难度,使学生在老师的引导下,自然引入Hows the weather?采用教师设置任务,提出问题
4、,学生解决问题,进行师生,生生合作学习,优化课堂教学结构,活跃课堂气氛,借助多媒体课件等方式提高学生的积极性。4、情感目标: (1)教育学生善于观察天气,爱护环境。(2)培养学生学习英语的兴趣,能在小组活动中积极与他人合作,相互帮助,共同完成学习任务。(3)通过学习打招呼、谈论天气和所做的事时所用的交际用语,学会与人友好相处。四、教学重难点1. Important points:1) The vocabulary and useful expressions. 2) Hows the weather? Its raining/ windy/. 2. Difficult points:运用目标语

6、They are . 2. Show some pictures, ask the students to look at what people are doing and let them answer. playing basketball drawing washing the dishes etc.Step 3 . Presentation 1.(Show some pictures of the weather) Ss learn the new words andexpressions with the help of the pictures. 2. Let Ss look a
7、t the pictures and ask them how the weather is. Practice the dialogue: -How is the weather/ Whats the weather like?? -It s raining.-How is the weather? -It s windy. etc. . Point out the numbered list of description words. Say each one and ask Ss to repeat the words again. Then ask Ss to match the wo
8、rds with pictures a-e. 4. Check the answers. Keys: abecdStep 4. Listening 1b 1. Now lets look at the city names in the box in 1b. Ss read the cities after the teacher. , Well hear four conversations. Listen carefully, point out each city in the picture as it comes upon the tape. Play the recording a
9、 second time. Ask Ss to write the name of the city in the picture of its weather. 3. Check the answers. Look at the 5 pictures in 1a. Encourage Ss to use the description words to describe the weather: Its cloudy in Shanghai. Its snowing in Moscow. . . Keys: a Toronto b Boston c Beijing d Moscow e Sh
10、anghaiStep 5. 1c Practice in pairs 1. Tell the Ss: Imagine you are in one of the places in the picture above. Talk about the weather with your friends in another city on the phone. 2. Make a model with a student like this: T: Hi! Hows the weather in Beijing? We can also use: Whats the weather like?
11、Ss: Its sunny. Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer about the weather in the cities. Hows the weather in Shanghai? Its cloudy. Hows the weather in Moscow? Its snowy. Hows the weather in Toronto? Its raining. Hows the weather in Boston? Its windy. 3. Game time Guessing games 4. Show a weather map of Chin
12、a. Here are some different cities. Give Ss a few minutes to make a weather conversation in each city with their partners. Then ask some pairs to act out their conversations.Step 6 Summary 1. We learnt to describe the weather. 2. We learnt to describe what people are doing. Look and sayShow some pict

Language points. 1. Hows the weather in Shanghai? Hows the weather?是用来询问天气状况的常用句型,相当于Whats the weather like?在这两句句末可加上“介词地点
14、/时间”等短语来询问某地或某时的天气情况。例:Hows the weather in Beijing?北京的天气如何?Its sunny.天气晴朗。 weather为不可数名词,意为“天气”,不能与不定冠词a、an连用。 2. Its + adj / doing. (Its rainy. Its raining.) 注:it = the weather Its cloudy/sunny/windy/. it代词,在本句中指代“天气”。应注意的是,it可不翻译,可根据上下文来理解其含义。Step 8.
