PlotandSubplot

ForrestGumpissomethingofanexceptionbecausethestoryofGump’slifeandtheplotofthefilmarealmostidentical.Thatistosay,themainplotis,essentially,nothingmorethanthestoryofGump’slife:Gumpisborn,goestoschool,goestocollege,goestoVietnam,comeshomeandsetsupashrimpingbusiness,meetsJennyagain,runsacrossthecountry,etc.
