Part2:ClassActivities

Activity1:FamilyTree

Objective:Topracticefamilyvocabularyandintroducestudentstotheconceptofafamilytree

Materials:Largesheetofpaper,markers

Procedure:

-Drawabasicfamilytreeontheboardandlabelthefamilymembers

-Havestudentsworkinpairstocreatetheirownfamilytreesonthelargesheetofpaperusingthevocabularyfromtheboard

-Oncethefamilytreesarecomplete,haveafewstudentssharetheirfamilytreeswiththeclass

-Asaclass,discussanyinterestingoruniquefamilystructuresthatwerefoundintheactivity

Activity2:MyFamily

Introduction:

Inthisunit,studentswilllearnthenamesofdifferentfamilymembersandhowtodescribethem.Theywilllearnaboutpossessiveadjectivesandpluralformsofnouns.Throughthisunit,studentswillunderstandtheimportanceoffamilyanddeveloppositiveattitudestowardsfamilymembers.
