erse.Inshort,learningfromandanalyzingthepasthasenormousvalueforusandlifeasweknowitonEarthtodaywouldnotbepossiblewithoutthebenefitofthousandsofyearsofhistoryandaccumulatedknowledge.Itisimportant,however,toignorethepastsothatwecanmakeastepforward,andsuchfreethinkingshouldbeencouraged,althoughnotattheexpenseofpastknowledge.Learningfromthepastissomethinglikelearningfromourparents-inmostcases,theirpasthelpsushaveabetterfuture,buttherearetimeswhenweneedtomakeabreakfromthepastandmakeaboldstepintoanunknownfuture.Doyouagreeordisagreewiththefollowingstatement?Classmatesareamoreimportantinfluencethanparentsonachild'ssuccessinschool.Usespecificreasonsandexamplestosupportyouranswer.Accordingtomyexperience,Ifullyagreetheviewthatclassmatesareamoreimportantinfluencethanparentsonachild’ssuccessinschool.IliketousefollowingreasonstoexplainwhyIthinkdo.Thefirstandmostimportantreasonischildrencaneasilysharetheirthoughtswithpeers.Undoubtedly,childrencanreadilyexchangetheirideasinfrontofclassmates.IclearlyrememberthatIusedtoliketoconfidemytroublestomylittlefriendswhenIfoundthatmyparentscouldnotutterlyunderstandmythoughts.SometimeswhenIgotascorewithwhichmyparentswerenotsatisfied,myfriendscouldgivemecomfort,whichmotivatedmegreatlytocontinuetostudy.Anotherequallyimportantreasonisthatthecommunicationwithclassmatesfrequentlyisgoodforthecultivationofourcharacteristic.Whenweoftentalktoourclassmatesorfriends,wecanfindourownadvantagesanddrawbacksofwhichwemaynotbeawarewhenwearestayingwithourparents.Classmatescanfranklypointoutourshortages,whichisnecessaryforourfutureself-development.Ofcourse,Iadmitthatparentscanalsogiveusmuchhelp.Forexample,theycanteachustotellwhatiscorrectandwhatisnot.Andwhenweencounterdifficulties,theyalwaysgiveusimmediatehelp.Butifallfactorsareconsidered,theinfluenceofclassmatesclearlyoutweighthatofourparents.Fromwhathasbeendiscussedabove,wecansafelydrawtheconclusionthatclassmatesareamoreimportantinfluencethanparentsonachild’ssuccessinschool.Manyteachersassignhomeworktostudentseveryday.Doyouthinkthatdailyhomeworkisnecessaryforstudents?Usespecificreasonsanddetailstosupportyouranswer.There'smuchcontroversyaboutthenecessityofdailyhomeworkforstudents.Somesayhomeworkisnecessarysinceonlypracticemakesperfect,whileothersdisagreebecausetheybelieveastudentshouldhavethefreedomtostudywhateverinwhateverformsjustashe/shelikesto.Inmyopinion,dailyhomeworkisnecessaryforstudents.First,ateachercouldassignhomeworkasaguideforthestudentstostudy.Astudentneedshelpofateacherbecauseheorshemaynothaveanoverallunderstandingoftheknowledgeheisgoingtostudyastheteacher.Thismeans,atthebeginning,astudentcouldnotwellplanhisorherstudy,justasakidwhoisinaswimmingpoolforthefirsttimecoulddonothingbutplaywithwater.Andateachercouldmakeagoodstudyplanforhimorher,sothatheorshecouldlearnefficiently.Secondly,Sometimes,evenwhenastudent,especiallyayoungone,hasalreadyunderstoodwhathe/sheshoulddoinordertomastersomeskillorknowledge,he/shemightstillbeunwillingtodothisforthelackofmotivation.Itseemstobealiewhenonetellsthatheorshehasneverbeenlazy,atleastonceintheirlife,aboutstudying.Sosomehomeworkcouldfunctionasataskforthestudenttoperform,whichishelpfultomotivatehim/her.Thirdly,homeworkisanimportantformoffeedbackforateachertounderstandtheeffectivityofhis/herwork.AsIhavementionedbefore,ateachermakesastudyplanforthestudents;butdoesitreallywork?ordoesitworkforallthestudents?It'snotdifficulttoknowthisonlyiftheteacherpaysomeattentiontothehomeworkofthestudents.Thenhe/shemaybeabletofindifthere'sanyproblemsinhisownteaching,andmakecorrespondingadjustmenttothat,eitherforallthestudentsorforasingleone.Withoutsomefeedback,itisimpossiblefortheteachertodothis.Atestisalsoagoodformoffeedback,butobviouslyoneortwotestsarenotenough,andsometimesthiskindoffeedbackjustcomestoolate.However,Thisconclusionmightbemisleadingthatonemaybelieveallformsofhomeworkarenecessary.Actually,onlyproperamountofhomeworkinproperformsisacceptable;somehomeworkmaynotonlyfailtohelpthestudents,but,oncontrary,borethem,somuchsothattheymaylosetheirinnateinteresttostudy.So,"Proper"homework,inmyopionion,shouldvaryinitsforms;itmightbesomeextensivereading,apaper,orevenjustagame,aswellasotherordinaryexercises.Anditshouldleaveenoughfreedomtothestudentssothattheycoulddothingstheyreallyliketodowithself-motivation,ratherthanunwillingness.Inconclusion,weshouldalwaysrememberthathomeworkissomethingforustoguidethestudents,ratherthandrivethem.Onlyifateacherkeepthisinhis/hermind,thehomeworkcouldbeofmosthelptothestudents.Doyouagreeordisagreewiththefollowingstatement?Grades(marks)encouragestudentstolearn.Usespecificreasonsandexamplestosupportyouropinion.Inmanyschools,teachersevaluatestudentsbytheirgrades.Manypeoplethinkthatitisunfairandone-sidedtodothisanditwilldiscouragestudentstolearn.Ibelieve,however,gradescanencouragestudentstolearn.Thereasonscanbeanalyzedasfollows.Firstofall,testsareimportantforstudents’learning.Attendingclassesisnotenoughforstudentstotrulygraspthekeypointsinasubject,nomatterhowcarefullytheylistentowhatteacherssay.Theynee
