JiujiangUniversity(JJU)isacomprehensiveandresidentialpublicuniversitylocatedinJiujiang,JiangxiProvinceofthePeople’sRepublicofChina.ItisaccreditedbytheChineseMinistryofEducationandenrollsstudentsofdiversebackgroundsfromalmosteveryprovinceandadministrativeregionofthecountry.Itshistorycanbetracedbackto1901whenitwascharteredasDanforthHospitalNursingSchoolbyAmericanMissionaries.ItsadvantageouslocationandlonghistoryprovidesJJUwitharichculturalandacademicatmosphere.

JJUhasfourbeautifulcampusesrestingonapproximately200hectares(500acres)andincludesabuildingareaof780,000squaremeters.Thebeautiful,greenenvironmentofJJU’scampusisperfectforstudy.StudentsmaystudyandrelaxamidstacoolandpleasantatmosphereandtheUniversity’sbeautifulbotanicalgardens.Theuniversityequippedwithmoderneducationalfacilities,servicesandaccommodationforstudentsandstaff,locatedagainstabeautifulbackgroundofLushanMountainsceneryinJiangxiProvince.

FacultyofInternationalStudiesofJiujiangUniversity(FISofJJU)isaninstitutioninchargeofinternationalcooperativeprogramsandinternationalstudies.Itundertakessuchresponsibilitiesastheenrollment,educationandmanagementofinternationalstudentsandstudentsfromHongkong,TaiwanandMacao;managementofinternationalcooperativeprograms;andinitiatingaseriesoftrainingprogramsforthosehavingdesirestofurthertheirstudiesabroad.WiththepleasantteachingenvironmentandfirstclassteachingequipmentandfacilitiesofJiujiangUniversity,FISofJJUisdedicatedtoestablishingcooperativerelationswiththeoverseashighereducationinstitutions.

GraduatesofJJUmayfurthertheirpostgraduatestudyatUniversitédePoitiersinFranceafter6-10monthsFrenchtrainingandbridgecoursesstudyinJJU.

BritishProgram

Theprogramprovidesanopportunityforhighschoolgraduatestoacquirequalityoverseasteachingresourcesdomestically,andenablesthestudentsandtheirparentstosaveexpensivecosts.NCCEducationisaglobalproviderforthisprogram.Thedurationoftheprogramisnormally3years,i.e.1yearoffoundationcoursesplus2yearsofacademiccourses.Thereafter,qualifiedstudentscanchooseover50UKinstitutionsofhigherlearningorthoseofothercountries,namely,US,Australia,Malaysia,etc,tofurthertheireducation.ThefirsttwojointeducationalprogramsareComputingandBusinessManagement.

JJUisrecognizedbytheMinistryofHealthofthePeople’sRepublicofChinaandtheWorldHealthOrganization(WHO)intheDirectoryofWorldMedicalSchools.ForeignstudentscanapplytoChineseorEnglishtaughtMBBSprogramsinJJU.MBBSinChina(BachelorofMedicineandSurgery),isbecomingpopularforinternationalstudents.AlthoughthemediumofinstructionisEnglish,thestudentswillstillneedtostudyChineselanguageinordertocommunicatewiththepatientsintheclinics.

JiujiangChineseLanguageEducationCenter

JiujiangChineseLanguageEducationCentrewasestablishedinAprilof2000.TheCentreisoneofthefirsttwenty-twocentersapprovedbytheOfficeofOverseasChineseAffairsundertheStateCouncilofChina.TheCentrehassentmorethanfortyChineseteachersandstudentstoCambodia,Thailand,andthePhilippinestohelptheChineseEducationalInstitutesofthesecountrieswithChineseteachingandtrainingteachersofChinese.Since2005thecenterhasbeenconductingtrainingcoursesforoverseasChineseteachersfromaroundtheworld.

CMB(ChineseMedicalBoard)inUnitedStatesofAmericahasgivengrantstoJJUsince1988.TheaidhasbeenextendedtomorethantenprojectsdesignedtofurtherimproveandenhancethemedicaleducationatJJUMedicalCenter,totalingavalueofmorethantwomillionUSdollars.

FriendlyAssociationbetweenJiujiangandYamatotakadaJapan

TheFriendlyAssociationbetweenYamatotakada,JapanandJJUwasinitiatedin1994.EducationalvisitsbetweenthetwocitieshavebeenconductedfrequentlysincethefirstvisitofJapanesestudentsinAugust1988.TheFriendlyAssociationbetweenJiujiangandYamatotakadawasfoundedin2001atJJU.
