Abstract:

Englishvocabularyplaysacrucialroleinlanguagelearning.Enhancingstudents'vocabularyacquisitionandretentionabilitieshasbecomeapressingissueinmiddleschoolEnglisheducation.Inthisstudy,variousmemorystrategiesareexploredtoimprovetheeffectivenessofvocabularyteaching.ThearticleanalyzestheimportanceofmemoryinvocabularyacquisitionandsummarizesdifferentmemorystrategiesthatcanbeusedinthemiddleschoolEnglishclassroom.Italsodiscussestheapplicationofmemorystrategiesindifferentstagesofvocabularyteachingandsuggestseffectivewaystoevaluatestudents'vocabularylearningoutcomes.ThefindingsofthisstudyprovideguidanceforteacherstooptimizetheirvocabularyinstructionandhelpstudentsimprovetheirEnglishlanguageskillsinamoreefficientandsustainableway.

Introduction:

Languagelearninginvolvestheacquisitionofmanynewwordsandtheirmeanings,makingvocabularyafundamentalaspectoflanguageproficiency.Itisgenerallyacknowledgedthatacquiringarichvocabularyimproveslearners'readingcomprehension,writingability,andoveralllanguageproficiency.Therefore,effectivevocabularyteachingisessentialinmiddleschoolEnglisheducation.
