ThisCodeisformulatedwithaviewtoimprovingtheprocessdesignofsteelpipecoating

plant,topromotingtheprocesstechnologyandequipmentforsteelpipeplantsandtopropellingthe

technicalupgradingandrestructuringofsteelpipecoatingplantsinChinainaccordancewiththe

nationalpolicyforiron&steelindustrialdevelopment.

ThisCodeisapplicableforprocessdesignofnewinstallation,revampingandexpansionof

externalpolyethylene,polypropylene,fusionbondedepoxy(FBE)coatinglineforsteelpipes,as

wellasinternalfusionbondedepoxyandbi-componentliquidcoatinglineforsteelpipes.

Processdesignforthesteelpipecoatingplantinstallation,revampingandexpansionshall

complywiththenationalindustrialpolicy,andachievehighquality,highefficiency,lowcostand
