如果不能很好地交流,我们就几乎不能跟朋友相处。2.Friendshiprequiresgoodcommunication.友谊需要好的沟通。

require作及物动词,意为“需要;要求”,它的后面常接名词、代词、v.-ing形式、不定式的复合结构或that从句(从句谓语用“should+动词原形”,其中should可以省略)。

这些宠物需要悉心照顾。

Herequiresthatthey(should)workallnight.他需要他们整晚都工作。【注意】requiredoingsth.意为“需要(被)……”,相当于requiretobedone。e.g.Thehouserequirespainting.=Thehouse

requirestobepainted.这房子需要油漆一下。

【拓展】require可用于被动语态,但不用于进行时态。

e.g.Thestudentsarerequiredtotakepartinthemeeting.

这些学生需要参加这个会议。【运用】将所给汉语句子翻译成英语。

Itis/wasthesamewith…(=Soitis/waswith…)是表达“也”的一个句型,无论前提是肯定或否定意思都可使用。e.g.—Italkmuchaboutcommunicationeveryday.我每天谈论很多关于沟通的事。

我也是。4.Theyaremorelikelytosucceedintheirjobs.他们更有可能在工作上取得成功。likely在本句中是形容词,表示“可能的;有倾向的”,既可以用人作主语,也可以用物作主语。

likelyinallpartsoftheregiontoday.今天该地区各处都可能下雨。5.It’salwaysbettertogetthingsoutintheopen–talkaboutaproblem,cometoasolutionormoveon.把事情摆到桌面上,讨论问题,得到解决问题的方法,或者转换话题,这样总会更好一些。(1)get…out在此句中的意思是“使……出来”。e.g.Pleasegetthehorseout.

请把那匹马放出来。(2)intheopen在此句中的意思是“公开地”。e.g.Thespydoesn’tdaretoactintheopen.间谍不敢公开行动。intheopen还有“在露天(户外、野外)”的意思。e.g.Don’tsleepintheopen.

别在户外睡觉。(3)cometo在此句中的意思“得到(结果)”。e.g.Theycametoafight.结果他们打起来了。(4)moveon在此处的意思是“更换话题”。e.g.Wehavetalkedmuchaboutthis.Let’smoveon.对此我们谈得很多了,更换话题吧。6.Hopefully,we’llalllearntogetalongbetterwitheachother!希望我们互相都学会更好地相处!

hopefully是副词,在句中作状语,能这样用的通常是-ly结尾的副词。

e.g.Personally,Ithinkheisagoodstudent.
