the

best

outcomes

amount

children

to

children

filled

out

the

assessment

form,

which

measureshow

attached

children

feel

to

their

family,

neighborhood,and

school;

whether

they

have

strong

sense

they

earn

good

Scottye

Cash,

also

an

associateprofessor

social

work,

compared

the

survey

data

with

thelast

six

months

of

the

children's

attendance

records

from

theclub

to

see

if

there

was

any

association.Because

club

attendance

is

voluntary，some

childrencome

more

frequently

than

others.

They

freely

chooseamong

recreational(娱乐的)

activities

(such

as

playingbasketball),

academic

assistance,

and

life

skill

classes.

Thisstudy

simply

counted

time

spent

at

the

club,

and

notchildren's

specific

activities.The

study

revealed

that

the

more

children

participatedin

the

club,

the

stronger

their

sense

of

self

was.

Participationin

the

club

strengthened

their

social

skills

as

well.

“Strong

relationships

are

built

over

takes

time

for

children

to

develop

anattachment

to

club—to

feel

committed

to

commitment

acceptance
