2010Beijing“ARCCup”InternationalWeldingCompetitionmanual-1-2010Beijing“ARCCup”InternationalWeldingCompetitionTechnicalFilesSponsoredby:State-ownedAssetsSupervisionandAdministrationCommission(SASAC)Supportedby:ChineseMechanicalEngineeringSociety(CMES)Organizer:BeijingARCXinxingScienceandTechnologyCo.,Ltd(ARC)May2010,Beijing,ChinaⅠ.CompetitioncriterionThecompetitionfollowsIIWinternationalstandard(IIWisaninternationalstandardmadebyInternationalInstituteofWelding)Ⅱ.Competitionevents1.Shieldedmetal-arcwelding,SMAWforshort2.GasMetalArcWelding,GMAWforshort3.Gastungsten-arcwelding,GTAWforshort4.Oxygenfuelgaswelding,OFWforshortⅢ.Competitionmethods1.Competitionmethods(1)Thisweldingcompetitionispracticalonly.(2)Twogroupsinthiscompetition,groupAandgroupB.(3)GroupAincludesthesecompetitorswhoseageisabove23.(4)GroupBincludesthesecompetitorswhoseageareunder23.(bornbeforeMay1st,1987)(5)GroupA:shieldedmetal-arcwelding,SMAWforshort,GasMetalArcWelding,GMAWforshort,gastungsten-arcwelding,GTAWforshort,oxygenfuelgaswelding,OFWforshort.threepositions,1Gposition,2Gpositionand4Gposition.eachcompetitorsonlytakepartinonecompetitionmethod.(6)GroupB:shieldedmetal-arcwelding,SMAWforshort,GasMetalArcWeldingGMAWforshort,gastungsten-arcwelding,GTAWforshort,oxygenfuelgaswelding,OFWforshort.threepositions,1Gposition,2Gpositionand3Gposition.eachcompetitorsonlytakepartinonecompetitionmethod.Thespecificationofpracticaltestpiece,pleaseseeattachment1.2.Assembleofthetestpiece(1).Competitorsshouldwearlaborprotectionappliance,auxiliarytoolsshouldbeprovidedbycompetitorsthemselves.(2).CompetitorsreceivesthetestpieceandweldingmaterialrelyingonContestPassandlotticket.(3).Eachcompetitorsshouldcheckoutwhetherthetestpiecehasmettherequirementsbeforeassembly,thetestpiececannotbechangedingeneral,iftherearedifferences,chiefrefereedecideswhattodo.(4).Competitorsassemblethetestpieceatcertainplaceandcertaintimebythemselves.(5).Ifthetestpieceisdestroyedduringtheassemble,competitorscanrepairthembyhimself,andthedestroyedtestpiececannotbechangedintonewones.(6).InvigilatorswillfillintheCirculationCardforeverystepofassembleforeachcompetitor,forthecompetitorswhopasstheassemble,theInvigilatorsandthecompetitorswhopasstheassemblywillbothsigntheInvigilators’nameandcompetitors’nameontheCirculationCard.Forthecompetitorswhocannotpasstheassembly,invigilatorswillinformthosecompetitorstoreassemblethetestpiece,thetestpiecescannotbeusedforcompetitionuntilmeettherequirement.(7).Therulesforassemblya.Timeforassemblyis60minutes.b.Tackweldingshouldadoptthesameweldingmethodandsamematerialasformalwelding.c.Allofthetestpieceshouldbefixedinsideofthefrontsideofgroove,fixed-pointshouldbeoneachsideofthetestpiece,thelengthofthefixed-pointshouldbelessthan20mm.(including20mm)3.Practicalcompetitionrequirement(1)Competitorsshouldreceivetheassembledtestpieceassembledbythecompetitorsthemselvesrespectively15minutesbeforethecompetition,andweldingmaterialaccordingtothelotticket,thecompetitionstartsfromtheordersignal,ifsomeonewholate10ormorethan10minutesshouldberegardedasquittingthecompetition.(2).CompetitionoperationtimeGroupA180minutesforshieldedmetal-arcwelding,SMAWforshort.150minutesforGasMetalArcWelding,GMAWforshort.120minutesforgastungsten-arcwelding,GTAWforshort.150minutesforoxygenfuelgaswelding,OFWforshort.GroupB180minutesforshieldedmetal-arcwelding,SMAWforshort.150minutesforGasMetalArcWelding,GMAWforshort.120minutesforgastungsten-arcwelding,GTAWforshort.150minutesforoxygenfuelgaswelding,OFWforshort.(3).Electricaltoolsareforbiddenduringthecompetition(4).Weldingmachine,weldingtorch,weldingtongs,weldingwireandtorchwhichwillbeprovidedbyauniformmanufacturer,notallowedtobringthetoolsdescribedabovebycompetitorsthemselves.(5).Competitorsshouldself-providemask,hammer,manufacturer,rasper,Steelwirebrush,abrasivecloth,sawblade,flashlight,Electrode,polishing,monkeywrench(forforeigncompetitorswhowillbedifficulttobringthesetoolswhichcanbeprovidedbyChinaOrganizer,butthecompetitorswhocannotbringthesetoolsshouldapplyforthesetoolsinadvance)(6).Thelimitofhighnessfortestpieceis1.5m(7).Competitorscantrythecurrentonthetestplateonly,notallowedtotrythecurrentonthefixture,ifdoso,itwillbetreatedasviolationofcompetitionrules.(8).Shouldweldonthesinglesideofthetestpiece.(9).Thedirectionofflatpositionweldingoftestpieceshouldadoptonedirection,notallowedtoweldfrommiddletoends,orweldfromtwoendstomiddle,thedirectionoflayershouldinconformitywiththedirectionofbackwelding(exceptoxygenfuelgaswelding)(10).Otherpositiontestpieceshouldbedoneontheweldedbracketintheprocessofwelding.whichshouldnotbechangesiteanddirection,ifthecompetitorsmovethetestpieceforcleaningtheseam,itshouldbeputbacktheoriginalsiteinthesupervisionofinvigilator,thetestpiececan’tbetakendownwithoutfinish,notallowedtomarkanythingonthetestpiece,ifthereisaviolationabovehappens,thescoreofindividualeventis0.(11).Intheprocessofwelding,thedestroyedtestpiecewhichthecompetitorscanrepairbyhimselfcannotbechangedanewone,.thesurfaceoffrontandbackseamarenotallowedtorepairnorremelting,i
