护城河旁都是垃圾，有白色塑料袋、水果、吃剩的饭盒，这些垃圾引来很多老鼠、苍蝇。最恶心的就是垃圾堆里的死老鼠了，不时地散发出一阵阵臭味，路过的人都不敢呼吸，捂着鼻子，跑得远远的。放眼望去，尽是漂浮在河面上的垃圾，河水又黑又臭，像一块掉在垃圾堆里的黑年糕。两岸的树木很早就落了叶，许多树皮过早地老化剥落了，就像生病的老人，又干枯，又没劲儿。
